Chapter Text

An incident suddenly struck like a bolt of lightning.

7 years old Midoriya Izuku couldn't bring himself to believe what happened, Even though he witnessed it with his own eyes. But this just can't be real.

His best friend, Kacchan, is now lying on the bed unconciously. His breathing is so faint that even though Izuku literally standing next to his bed could barely heard anything.

He had known Kacchan for pretty much his entire life, Both of their mothers are best friends, So naturally they are one as well. Even if Kacchan was a bit mean when their Quirk manifested and gave him a nickname that he, admittedly, didn't really like very much.

His Quirk, Float. like its name, make him float in the air, and that's about it. He can still move around somewhat in the air of course, Though "Somewhat" in this case kinda means "Very Slowly" like a meter per minute kind of slow after 2-3 years of using it practically everyday. Pretty much solidify that he will never be able to move in the air faster than just simply walking in his lifetime, This is probably why his Quirk is just a simple Float instead of something cool like Flight.

Any Heroes can just used Jetpack as their supoort item and he will be immediate outclassed, Thus his Quirk is functionally kind of "Useless" which bring to the nickname Kacchan gave him, Deku.

Actually he has a suspicion that Kacchan just isn't good at remember people's names, So he came up with a nickname like this because he probably thought "Izuku" is too hard to pronounced or something.

It shouldn't be a surprised that Kacchan would have the coolest Quirk in the entire class, Maybe even the whole school. Him getting more and more arrogant as a result is also not surprising at all.

But it's not a deal breaker or anything, Their freindship are still mostly the same. It's not like just having a good Quirk and not-so-good Quirk could ever seperated them, After all they're pretty much brothers at this point.

Which is why, The pain in Izuku's heart right now is indescribable and immeasurable, He is right there when his "brother" got hit by that truck.

Though he wasn't there from the very beginning, He was still there at the moment when Kacchan jumped in front of the truck. intended to push a boy, that Izuku has never met before so he is probably from other school, out of its way. Which led to him got hit by said truck instead of that boy.

Izuku couldn't do anything, he is only no more than ten meters away from the scene. But all he could do is just shouted "Kacchan, NO!" like a complete moron.

To be honest, He didn't even think his Quirk was that bad before, He felt like he could do a lot worse than "Float" and Kacchan himself said that he would still make Izuku his sidekick when he eventually became No.1 Hero. So Izuku's Quirk couldn't be too bad right? Maybe Kacchan was just exaggerated.

Kacchan was right, His Quirk is useless. If he is All Might then he could definitely saved him without problem. If only he has speed-based Quirk then he would be able to get Kacchan and that boy out of the way. If only he has psychokinesis... If only he has some kind of detection... If only...If only his Quirk wasn't so useless. He might be able to do something, Anything at all, and he might be able to saved Kacchan.

But he didn't, He couldn't, He was incapable of doing so.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN PARAPLEGIA!!?"

Auntie Mitsuki's loud voice bring him back to reality, It's the word that he had never heard before, What does Para-something mean?

"Please trying to calm down Madam. We already did everything we could, but his spinal cord was heavily damaged, There is nothing else we can do. We're so sorry Madam, But we're afraid that your son might not be able to use his legs for a long while., and we have no guaranteed that he will be able to walk ever again"

The words struck on Izuku like he was hit by that truck himself, What does he mean by "Not be able to use his legs again"?

B-But that's impossible! Kacchan will be the greatest Hero of all time, Surpassing even All Might himself! How can he be a hero without his legs!?

Izuku doesn't really know much, But everyone can walk right!? He has never met a single person in his life that couldn't walk except babies. He has seen Quirkless people before, But he had never seen a Legless person.

This can't be! This absolutely can't be!

Izuku look at Kacchan who is still lying in Hospital's bed. Thousands of questions and emotions ran through his head nonstop, His eyes is empty yet tears still won't stop flowing out.

Kacchan always ran ahead of him, protecting him, and he always look up to that back with admiration. All Might may be his favorite Hero, But he knew that eventually Kacchan will take that spot in the future.

Kacchan will be the next All Might, and Izuku will be his sidekick and supporting him. Together, They will save so many people with confident smiles on their face. This has been Midoriya Izuku's greatest dream ever since he could even remembered anything.

But this dream is no more. Kacchan couldn't become a Hero anymore, and he know that him alone didn't have what it takes to be a hero.

And even if he can, How dare him! He couldn't even saved his best friend even though the incident happened right before his eyes, How could he ever hope to be a Hero, Someone who is actually capable of helping people.

I'm sorry Kacchan... I'm sorry... I...!

For 7 years old Bakugou Katsuki, That event changed his life forever.

First and Foremost, He will never be able to walk again for the rest of his life.

He heard that maybe someday he might be able to use his legs again after a lot of Musical Therapy or whatever that was, But the chances aren't really too high.

The gazes people look at him had changed. Before it was something like admiration or complimentation. Now it's all pity. He fucking hated that.

Yes, He is 7 years old and he can say F-U-C-K, because he is just so cool like that.

He was supposed to be the next No.1 Hero after All Might, and even surpassing him along the way, How did he ended up like this.

He probably shouldn't have saved that purple-haired bastard, If only he just let that guy got ran over by a truck then he wouldn't have end up like this.

He doesn't even know why he did that, His legs just kinda moved on its own. and Karma immediately strikes by took said legs away from him(Technically it's still kinda there, But he doesn't feel anything about it anymore).

The thought that ran through his head at the time is "What would Deku do" which in hindsight is an absolutely terrible idea, When was Deku's line of thought ever rational?

He intended to blame Deku a little, But after seeing Deku, It seems that the nerd blamed himself more than Katsuki did.

How does that even make any sense!? Deku didn't do anything particularly wrong there, or did Deku seriously think that this Bakugou Katsuki is so weak that he need help from a fucking nerd!?

Enough about some unimportant nerd, The big thing here is that he can't be a hero anymore.

Katsuki isn't a moron. He knew that Quirkless people can't be a hero, and Legless people like him are even more useless than that. Even after taking how awesome Katsuki is into calculation, His career as a Hero just wasn't meant to be.

Just like that. His dream of becoming the greatest Hero to ever existed was took away from him along side his legs.

Katsuki isn't an emotional person(Or at least he think) but he still couldn't holding himself back from crying after he heard about his legs condition.

He was supposed to save millions of people in the future, Yet his career ended before it even began by saving exactly a single person. Fuck his life.

Honestly he couldn't careless about anything anymore, everyone can go fuck themself for all he cares. and yet..

Why the Fuck did the nerd look so damn down!? Katsuki just doesn't understand.

It's him that couldn't be a Hero anymore, Not Deku. Yet the fucker is somehow more depressed than him, It's been like 2 months since the incident so any initial shock should wore off by now. How does that make any sense?

Deku will continue on and become a Hero, Doesn't matter if Katsuki is with him or not.

Yeah, Deku's Quirk sucks major balls, But he know the nerd far too well and also knew that something like shitty Quirk just wasn't enough to keep him down.

King Explosion Murder want him as his sidekick after all, Deku is probably gonna become a shitty no name Hero that will never cracked Top 50, But he would still be a Hero nonetheless.

"Oi, Deku!"

Fucking nerd is now basically Katsuki's personal chauffer, Only it wasn't for something cool like sports car but a fucking wheelchair instead. Even though he protested again and again he doesn't need Deku to be his babysitter, Unfortunately that Old Hag just doesn't have a concept of listening in her brain.

The nerd volunteered himself to be Katsuki's servant, because of course he fucking does.

"Do you want anything, Kacchan?"

Currently they're in Deku's room at Deku's home. Both Hag and Old Man has works to do so they dropped him with Auntie Inko then fuck off

So now he is stuck with the nerd, playing Super Hero Smash 3 because it's basically the only game Deku owned.

The problem here is that Deku just lost too easy, Because he couldn't focused on the damn game at all. How could he felt any better from clapping Deku's cheeks if the nerd didn't even cared to play.

"What happened huh? Why are you fucking zone out all the time?"

He doesn't even really care if something is bothering Deku, of course he doesn't. Really, Really doesn't. He just asked because...dunno, felt like it perhaps?

"Y-You don't have to worry about m-"

"WHO SAID I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU!!?"

"Uh-um, you said it. It just...there is something that I have been thinking about"

"Yeah? What the Fuck is it then?"

Katsuki narrowing his eyes. He saw Deku's body langauge and immediately have a hunch that he isn't going to like whatever Deku is going to say.

"I...don't want to be a hero anymore"

Katsuki stunned, This isn't something he anticipated. Deku and him had know each other for their entire life, and Deku he know wouldn't say something like this. The fucker loved Heroes more than anything.

"...Why?"

"I failed you Kacchan, How could I ever hop-"

SLAP!!

With that one single line, Bakugou Katsuki lost it.

"WHAT! THE! FUCK! ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?"

Izuku watch as Kacchan trying to hold himself back from killing him so hard that it make his face distorted

Kacchan slapped him. Bu he ignored the pain and continue talking.

"I couldn't do anything to save you Kacchan! My Quirk is useless! and I...!"

"WHEN DID YOU EVER FAILED ME, AND WHEN DID I EVER NEED YOUR HELP HUH!!? YOU MOTHERSUCKER!"

Honestly he kind of saw this coming, He knew that Kacchan wouldn't be happy with his decision. He choose to gave up on being a hero while Kacchan didn't have a choice in the matter after all.

But even though Izuku anticipated this, He never saw Kacchan as angry as this before.

"I-I want to help you Kacchan, Become a Hero who save people and your sidekick is my dream! But now you can't be a Hero anymore! and if I can't even save you, Then how could I ever dream of saving other people as a Hero! How could I even dare-"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!"

Kacchan's intimidating stare make all the words that Izuku wanted to say stuck in his throat.

"Listen up Deku, Because I will say this only once"

"Your dream sucks Deku! If I had know that your dream is this shitty, then I wouldn't even offered you to be my sidekick in the first place!"

Izuku watched Kacchan in almost disbelief, He never expected his life long dream to be insulted like that.

"Do you know what my dream is? The incredibly awesome dream of me become the greatest Superhero of all time, to be the symbol of victory, surpassing even All Might!"

"Yeah, I already knew tha-"

"So take my dream instead!"

"...Eh-"

"Throw your shitty dream out of the window Deku, and take my dream"

Katsuki laying down on his bed, But still couldn't bring himself to sleep.

It's all stupid Deku's fault, saying bullshit like "I couldn't save you Kacchan" like he need help from the nerd, Fucking asshole.

Deku has always been pretty annoying, But today take the cake on his "Most stupid and annoying shit Deku ever said" ranking. Katsuki felt like he has never been this angry before in his entire life, Somehow even more than him losing his legs.

What the Fuck does he mean "I don't wanna be a hero anymore"!!? Fucking jackass.

Katsuki also never knew that Deku want to be his sidekick that badly. Honestly when he said that Deku should become his sidekick, It's kind of a throw away line. His sidekick has to be the best of the best, and if Deku isn't good enough for him by the time he become the greatest Hero then the nerd can go fuck himself and went on to open his own shitty agency or something.

Also really? That's his dream? To be forever stuck as a sidekick?(Albeit a sidekick of the greatest Superhero to ever existed, But still) He always knew Deku was kinda pathetic, but not "I wanna be a shitty underling for the rest of my life" level of patheticness. This pissed Katsuki off.

Anyone without the drive to be the very best isn't worthy of being a Hero in Katsuki's always correct opinion

That's why Katsuki couldn't just let this slide. Now Deku even wanted to abandoned this shitty dream, not to pursue a new one, but he just simply gave up.

Even if Katsuki himself doesn't want to admit, Deku has what it takes to be a Hero. Maybe not one of the best, But he at least met the standard.

Katsuki doesn't want to see the nerd throw away his own dream just because Katsuki's dream was broken...

So Katsuki said that Deku should take his dream instead.

"Fuck"

Katsuki muttered. It's now 10 PM which is already 2 hours later than his normal bedtime. He always maintaining his healthy sleeping schedule, and now said schedule is a mess thanks to Deku.

He knew that he probably won't fell asleep anytime soon at this rate, So he whipped out his smartphone to watch some video or listen to music.

Katsuki's usage of smartphone was supposed to be pretty restricted as a 7 years old child, But if Hag really think some age restriction blocker can stop him then she has to think again.

To be fair, It's not like he want to use his phone to search for Adult content or some shit. But how could he watch All Might beating up bad guys otherwise, especially when HeroTube Kids being such a bunch of pussies that can't handled even a tiny bit of violence in their video.

After 2 videos of All Might clapped Villains' cheeks so hard they exploded(It's not what actually happened, But think of it as something just as awesome) Katsuki stumbled onto a new All Might interview that he has never seen before. and naturally, He clicked.

The video is just a normal interview as always, Katsuki fast forward repeatedly just to skip to the actual good part of the video AKA Any part that All Might actually talked.

"As someone that didn't used one, What's your opinion about Support Item, All Might? Have you ever thought of using one?"

Heh, As if someone as awesome as All Might even need Suppor-

"Hah Hah! You might not realised, But I always used Support Item everytime and everywhere, Including right here and now"

What?

"My Supersuit might look like a simple costume that anyone could buy in costume shop. But I assure you it's not"

"If I wore a simple fabric. Everytime I punched something, my clothes will be stretched and shredded as a result. Everytime I jumped my shoes would exploded from sheer impact. It's not only my clothes either, I actually has communication device hidden within my suit, So that I csn recieved information and arrived at emergency situation in time."

"For most Pro Heroes, even the simplest action all involved some kind of Support Item! Without them, Enji-ku... Sorry, Endeavor-kun would have to change his clothes every 3 minutes. Support Item aren't just weapons, It's everything that make Pro Heroes like us able to do our jobs as efficient as possible"

"The Supports are the very backbone of Hero Industries. and that's why, at least for me, They're no less Heroics nor less cool than the Pros at all"

The interview would go on for another 10 minutes or so, But Katsuki couldn't focus on the video at all.

All Might said that The Supports are cool.

That statement can't be wrong, All might said it himself.

Katsuki's mind went back to his conversation with Deku. He knew that even if Deku took his dream, It's still unlikely to be fulfilled. Deku doesn't have an awesome Quirk like him, There is only so much the nerd can do with his lame ass Quirk.

But...What if he has some support...?

What if the support he has isn't just any run-off-the-mill support, But the best support this world has ever seen?

Bakugou Katsuki couldn't be a Hero with his disability, He already accepted that fact. He can't become the No.1 Hero like he wished.

While Deku could still be a Hero, The nerd himself is simply don't have what it takes to be No.1.

So if...if he can make Deku into the best Hero, if he can filling whatever that nerd lacks and make him actually worthy of being No.1 Hero. It might not be his own perfect victory of course, But if there is someone in the world he would willing to share his victory with, that would be Deku.

At least it would be way better than clamping himself in an emotional pit and feeling sorry for the rest of his life.

Support, Huh...

It's been over 2 weeks since Kacchan and him has any kind of meaningful conversation.

Nowaday, Both of then didn't even talk unless necessary anymore. Even though they met everyday and Izuku is pretty much Kacchan's personal wheelchair driver.

It's not like Izuku doesn't have any friend other than Kacchan, But none of them are as close to him as Kacchan was. Izuku can't help but feels incredibly lonely.

"Oi nerd!, Take me to the beach"

This is the first word Kacchan had said to him today, and it's a very unusual request at that.

Eh? Why the beach..?

There is only one beach within the vicinity, Dagobah Beach which he hadn't been there since like last year. As far as he knew, Kacchan was never a fan of beach, It's not like he is a sand castle type of guy. and with his legs like this, Izuku doubted he want to go there to swim.

"W-Why would you want to go there?"

"Tch! Just take me there, You will know soon"

Eh? Does Kacchan want to murder him and bury his corpse below sands?

Even so, Izuku still won't deny Kacchan's request, so he grab both his and Kacchan's backpack and go to the beach.

Why is Kacchan's backpack felt heavier than usual?

Both of them arrived at the beach, Though the scenery are less pleasant than he hope it would be. He don't remember it being such a mess here, the number of junk covered the beach has increased significantly since last year.

Is this why Kacchan want to come here? to clean the beach? Nah, He doubted that.

Before he knew it, Kacchan already steer his wheelchair toward the beach. the sand here make it pretty hard for him to control the wheelchair, so Izuku quickly go after him immediately.

"Deku, Give me my backpack"

Izuku gave Kacchan his heavier-than-usual backpack, which he opened and bring out something from inside the backpack. What is that? It kinda look like some kind of mini-fan.

"Now Deku, Use your Quirk and float forward"

"B-But Kacchan, Isn't using Quirk outside illegal?"

"Do you see anyone here beside us? It would be fine as long as we don't make any trouble and got caught"

Izuku don't know what to say, But only a little should be fine right? He has never break any law before, now he felt like a very bad boy. but he still do as Kacchan said.

Don't know why but Kacchan keep checking his phone while watching him float

"Now float backward"

He doesn't understand what Kacchan is trying to do.

"About the same speed huh? good, now holding this fan, make sure to have it turned away from you, then float backward again"

Kacchan turn on the switch of that mini-fan and gave it to him, He still doesn't understand anything though.

"Tch, Barely changed huh? To be expected from the first model I guess?"

Kacchan said with annoyance expression on his face, then he just went silence for a bit. before turned his wheelchair to face Izuku

"What I just did is measured your floating speed in its normal state and when you hold the Support Item I made"

"S-Support Item!? Y-You made it!?"

"Yes Deku, Because I will be the greatest Support Inventor this world have ever seen, and you will be my masterpiece"

"W-What!?"

If Izuku didn't understand what happened before, Now he even understand less.

Well, He can at least understand why Kacchan would want to become a Support Inventor after he couldn't be a Hero anymore. But what does he mean by masterpiece?

"You will be a hero, Deku"

"But Kacchan! I said I don't want to-"

"AND I SAID THAT IT'S FUCKING STUPID! Just shut up and listen first"

"You want to be a hero Deku, Always was and always will"

"You thought that because you failed to save me, that make you unsuitable to be a hero? Big news Jackass! You didn't failed me and you're still suitable to be a hero!"

"I always knew that you could be a hero in your own right, You never really need my approvement. But if you numbskull couldn't understood that on your own and need me to beat it into your head then fucking fine!!"

"You can be a Hero Deku! The kind of hero that will make people smile. It doesn't matter if your Quirk is garbage or you're a fucking nerd. You always put other first before yourself, You aren't hesitated to do what's right! You have what it takes to be a good Hero"

Izuku couldn't fully comprehend what Kacchan just said, He never knew Kacchan really think that he could be a Hero. But how could he, He fail-

"It's not your failure Deku! It's mine! and I will make sure that it won't ever happen again! Because that's what Heroes do, They strived to be better than they were before and learned from their past mistakes. They always go Plus FUCKING Ultra!!"

"If you didn't believe you could be a great hero, then at least believe in me. Because I believed Deku, That you're going to be a fine enough Hero"

Izuku's knees felt on the sandy floor, undescribable emotion overflowed within his heart while unbelievable amount of tears overflowed from his eyes. Maybe, Maybe if he still couldn't bring him to fully believe in himself, He can still believe in his best friend, his brother.

"But that's not enough!"

"Eh?"

"You can't settled on being just a "Fine Enough" Hero! Didn't I tell you before, You should take my dream instead of your shitty one"

"W-What do you mean...?"

"You will be the No.1 Hero. No, I will make you the No.1 Hero"

"But that's impossible Kacchan! My Quirk is..."

"Yeah, Your Quirk sucks balls, there is no changing that. But as I said, I will become the greatest Support Inventor to ever lived. and you will use my Support Items to become the best Hero!"

The grin on Kacchan's face is a very confident one, it's almost addictive really. The kind of smile that make you think everything will be okay, Just like All Might's.

Also, Isn't Kacchan being a bit too supportive? It's kind of scary. Is this really Kacchan?

"N-Not like I want you to use my Support Item or anything of course! You're just barely qualified to at most, Don't be too full of yourself!"

Ah, There's Kacchan

"So...A Team then?"

"Yeah"

Izuku hold out his right hand forward and clutch it into a knuckle, Kacchan also do the same and bumped their fist together.

"Please take care of me, Partner"

"Huh, Partner? You're still my lackey at the end of the day"

Izuku himself would already be satisfied with being a top 200 Pro Hero or something, But Kacchan just won't satisfied with anything else other than the very best.

Really, What a troublesome best friend he has.

He doesn't even know if he really has whatever it takes to be a good Hero, let alone the best one.

But Izuku believes in Kacchan. If Kacchan said that he can be, then who is he to disagree right?

Then so be it, He couldn't afford to failed Kacchan, Not ever again.

He will be the greatest Hero, While Kacchan will be the greatest Support.

Together, They will be the Dynamic Duo.

The Greatest Team.

They will be.

The Mightiest.

It's a brand new day in a brand new school for Midoriya Izuku. Tatsui Junior High isn't exactly the best Middle School around here, But it will have to do.

Apparently Aldera Junior High that he and Kacchan intended to apply seems to have a lot of history about bullying, So Auntie Mitsuki decided that it's not a suitable environment for Kacchan. Specifically that he might kills someone in a counter attack if they were to try bullying him.

Izuku doesn't really have much opinion on that, so he kinda just tagging along with Kacchan for the ride. Kacchan said something like "Ya can't just leave me alone huh!?" but he probably already knew that it's not gonna happen. They're a team after all.

Kacchan doesn't even really want to go to any Middle School at all. But Auntie Mitsuki knew that he would most likely spend his entire day in his lab without eating or rest. In a sense, Izuku is kind of like his caretaker to make sure that he won't neglecting himself.

He knew that Kacchan won't strived to be anything but the best, So he is't exactly surprised that Kacchan would spend so much time on improving his skill or coming up with new inventions

Whatever the case, Now he is here in Tatsui Junior High with Kacchan, and most likely only Kacchan until he can make a new friend. Since none of his other friends from elementary school applied to this school.

Izuku and Kacchan arrives at their classroom, Which immediately make them become a point of interest for the whole class. Coming to school with a wheelchair isn't exactly a common sight.

"What are y'all looking at you damn extras!!?"

"D-Don't be so rude Kacchan"

Oh great, First day and they're already make their presence known to the whole class, Just what he need.

Izuku sighed a bit. then he took Kacchan to the back of the classroom. This class has no assigned seats, so he chose the seat in the corner back of the room so that Kacchan's wheelchair won't get in people's way.

After he sat on his seat right next to Kacchan, He felt the presence of someone tapping their finger on his right shoulder. When he turned his head to the right, he saw a cute brunette girl with pink speckles on both side of her cheeks.

"My name is Uraraka Ochako, Nice to meet you!"

Her smile make him shaking profusely. It's only the first day at school and he already talked to a girl!? and a cute one at that!? What is this sorcery!

It's not like she is the first female classmate he ever interacted with right? She is probably err...The third one?

"Oi Deku! Stop being such a wimp and greet that extra girl properly already!"

Why are you saying like it's an easy task Kacchan!? OK, It's probably really easy for him, Considering he seems to have no problem called the girl he just met an extra.

"Extra?"

See! Kacchan! This is why you don't go around calling people extras, it will leave a bad impression you know?

"I-It's mean "Extra Cool" or something like that, Right Kacchan?"

"Eh, Whatever"

Just looking at his face, You can tell that Kacchan just doesn't really give a damn about any of this whatsoever. While Uraraka-san just looking at him with hard-to-read expression.

"Hee~h, Your friend is a funny guy huh, Deku-kun"

"Ye-Yeah, That's rig...Deku-kun?"

"Um, Your name is Deku right? That's what your friend called you earlier"

"N-No, My name is Midoriya Izuku, Deku is just a nickname that Kacchan used"

"Oh, I take that Kacchan is also a nickname as well?"

"Bakugou Katsuki, Also don't get too chummy with me you damn extra"

"You know, Kacchan is such a cute nickname. It's not really fit with your scary face at all"

"OI! ARE YOU PICKING A FIGHT WITH ME, ROUNDFACE!?"

"R-Roundface!? My face isn't really that round!"

"Oh yeah? Do you see a single person in this classroom with rounder face than yours?"

And the two of them started arguing back and forth with Izuku sitting inbetween. Welp, So much for a peaceful school life

Tch, What a boring ass day.

Katsuki knew from the very start that coming to Middle School would be nothing but pure garbage, and he wasn't wrong. Of course not, When was he ever wrong at anything at all?

Who would have thought that arguing with some pink cheeks individual in the morning would be the highlight of his day. Well, It's not like the competition are tough or anything.

Speaking about pink cheeks, That Roundface just pissed him off really. They just met today and she is already overly friendly. The nerd just couldn't keep his ckown behavior in check and making a fool of himself in front of her every 30 minutes or so.

Eh, Honestly he couldn't care less about that. But anyway, coming to the damn school proved to be a huge waste of his time. Fortunately that his disability come with a perk that make him able to skipping school more than others, and he is willing to bet Deku's ass that he is going to abused the hell out of this perk.

The lunchtime is finally here, But he couldn't really be excited since the Old Hag won't let him bring any of his toolkits to school.

The nerd forgot his Bento in the first day of Middle School, Can't say that Katsuki was any surprised about that.

Deku went to the cafeteria to buy his lunch, Though judging from the crowd. It would probably take another half an hour before he come back.

"Bakugou-kun, Have lunch with me"

"No"

"I will take that as a 'Yes' then"

"What part of 'No' you couldn't understand huh!? also, Didn't I tell you to not get too chummy with me!"

"I'm actually kind of a contrarian myself you know? When you said No, it make me want to think of it as a Yes"

"Contrarian? You? Don't make me laugh, You're probably the biggest conformist I have ever seen, and I had know Deku since we were toddlers"

"What's a conformist?"

" 'a person who conforms to accepted behavior or established practices' ...You aren't very bright aren't cha?"

"W-What? No! I will let you know that my grade is at least above average you know!"

"If you're so damn proud of getting 'Above Average' grade in our current education system, Then that's already a big prove that you aren't very smart"

"E-Enough about my grade! Yeah, What do you mean by 'Know Deku-kun since you were toddlers'?"

"Eh, My mom and the nerd's mom had been best friends since they were still in college or something. We practically know each other since before we could even walk. That damn Bozo just keep sticking around with me for some reason and he won't go away"

What's wrong with him today?

Why did he getting so easy to provoke today? Katsuki knew that he isn't the calmest person in the world, But he is still more of a stoic type really. He normally wouldn't engaging in conversation this long with anyone outside of his family and Deku.

It has to be because of that brown eyes and pink fucking cheeks that make him pissed more than usual.

Before he knew it, Roundface has been sitting at his desk for a while now with riceball in her hand, and he just knew that she probably won't go away even if he said something. Really, Why is his life always surrounded by people that has no concept of personal space?

"So, Why can't you just fucking leave me alone huh?"

"I need friend to have lunch with"

"Bullshit, I just saw you talking with those extras over there, and you're at least closer to them than to me"

"W-Well..."

"What?"

"Because you look lonely without Deku-kun..."

"Huh!?"

What kind of bullshit reason is that!?

Him being lonely? Not a fucking chance in hell!

"Please accept my apology for called you 'Not very bright' earlier, Now I realised how wrong that statement was...Because you has to be the DUMBEST Fucking person I have ever met"

"You're lucky that that my legs isn't working right now. If it wasn't the case then I might have drop kick you straight to the Shadow Realm already!"

And so, Both of them kept arguing and arguing, Eventually the conversation was changed to his homemade lunchbox that he made himself, her pathetic riceball that was only seasoned with salt because her family is poor or some shit. and Mochi for some reason.

"Sorry Kacchan! There are so many people in the cafeteria"

The door was slammed open, Deku look like he just came back from warzone. Breads in his hand are misshaped and the nerd still gasping for air after his full sprint back from the cafeteria.

"Too fucking late Deku! You have 10 minutes to finish your breads before afternoon class begin"

Deku sit down on his chair and started munching on his lunch, Katsuki is willing to bet that the nerd is going to choke on his bread within the next 3 minutes.

Katsuki take a quick look at Roundface who has returned to her own desk, Then he remembered something.

Pink Cheeks never mentioned his legs at all throughout their entire conversation.

Not asking what happened to his legs like it's any of their business. Not asking why he came to school in a wheelchair. The only person that said something about his legs during their arguement is Katsuki himself.

Everyone else outside of his family and Deku keep asking about his damn legs without any consideration. Who cares, Just mind your damn business!

Honestly? Angelface might be the first one to not do any of that. He don't know if she did that out of consideration or just simple lacks of observation skill. But, It's not really a bad feeling.

"COoggh!"

Loud noise coming from his right side cut him from his though. He turned around to see Deku choking on his food with Roundface hitting his back repeatedly to get the food out of his throat.

Yagi Toshinori, Better known as The Symbol of Peace: All Might, is very excited for the arrival of a certain someone.

It's been a pretty long time since the two of them last met in person. 5...? No 6 years ago if he remembers correctly. The last time he met his favorite niece face to face, She was still relatively young back then. This is the first time he got to meet her in person after the "Incident"

As the plane from I-Island arrived at the airport, Toshinori took a deep breath, maybe a bit too deep for his current capability since it made him coughing heavily afterward.

His breathing system...No, His entire body isn't what it used to be. Most of his lungs were blown to pieces as well as his whole stomach, The fact that he is still alive right now is nothing short of miracle.

Considering that he went against The Symbol of Evil himself, This much injuries are well worth as a price. He made sure that he sent that badtard straight to hell, he checked again and again that All For One is truly Dead-Dead once and for all. Toshinori is in no way a brutal and violence person, But some evil just can't be compromised with in any way. In order to protect those he hold dear, Toshinori is willing to do whatever it takes even if it broke his personal policy.

David Shield and his beloved daughter, Melissa Shield are among those that Toshinori hold dear. Enji may has been his best friend for about 20 something years, but Dave and him go waaay back even before that. He has known David since as far as his Hero career just started, He was also there during the moment of Melissa's birth which he became her Godfather in the process. Even Enji wouldn't let him be the godfather of Young Shouko and Young Haruka, apparently because Godparents is considered an old tradition in Japan.

The door to the plane opened. Toshinori's bright smile widened when he saw the lovely blonde girl step out.

"Uncle M-Toshi!"

She almost gave away his secret identity by accident. He couldn't really blame her though, She had been calling him "Uncle Might" for as far as he can remember. Though he couldn't let her called him like that while he is still in this form, At least not outdoor.

Her voice may be clear and filled with happiness, But he couldn't help but noticed a hint of concern hidden within. For Young Melissa, Uncle Might is the big and muscular man who always wore a confident smile on his face, Not a skinny skeleton guy who look like he should be in the hospital ward instead of an airport.

It took Toshinori Four whole years after All For One was defeated for him to finally opened up the secrets of One For All to David and Melissa, As well as his current injured state.

It was quite a hard desicion. Anyone who knew about the secrets of One For All and All For One meaning that they will have a big red target on their back. Even after the demise of All For One, The fear that monster engraved onto Toshinori still lingered. But at last he decided that they at least deserved to know whatever happened to All Might and what will happen afterward.

Though, That's not really the only reason.

Melissa looking around curiously. This is probably her first time outside of I-Island without her father coming with her. This reminded Toshinori that no matter how brilliant Melissa is at such a young age, She is still a sheltered child who has little experience about outside world. Perhaps his old friend Dave might be a little too overprotective for Melissa's own good.

"So...I assume that you have already thought this through right, Melissa?"

The main reason that Melissa Shield came all the way from I-Island to Japan can only be one thing.

To be the next holder of One For All.

One For All is the Quirk that existed in order to defeat All For One.

With the latter gone forever, It has already fulfilled its duty and has no reason to exist anymore. But Toshinori didn't want this sacred torch to die out in his generation. One For All is potentially one of the strongest Quirk in history, and he know too well that in the right hand, it can be used as the ultimate repellant against evil.

Which is why he intended to find a successor. One that he could entrusted this legacy and using it to do the right things. They didn't have to be the next Symbol of Peace or anything like that, Didn't even have to be a Pro Hero if you asked him. Just someone that he could trusted to not use the power for wrongdoing.

His old sidekick, Sasaki Mirai AKA Sir Nighteye, took this duty in his own hand and trying to find someone that can be a replacement to All Might.

The candidate that Mirai had chosen, Young Togata Mirio, is an upstanding young man who is already a Top Hero in the making even without One For All. and in fact He doesn't need it.

Young Togata will become a great Hero in his own right. His proficiency in his own Quirk impressed even a veteran Hero like Toshinori. So much so that added One For All to his arsenal wouldn't really changed much, If anything it would make his control over Permeation even harder and ended up as a demerit.

That made Toshinori think, 'Instead of transfering this power to those that already have one, Why not give it someone that didn't have one instead'

Of course that this train of thought is based on Toshinori's own bias as a once Quirkless man himself. He knew that power, with or without, doesn't really say anything about someone's heroic heart or worthiness. But he couldn't help but think back to the moment he was given the opportunity to be a Hero that can save people like he always wanted to be.

And this is the reason why, Toshinori couldn't think of a better candidate than his own niece, or rather, There might not be one.

"Yes, Uncle Might, I will not let this opportunity go to waste"

Looking at the determination in her aqua-blue eyes, Yagi Toshinori know that he made the right choice.

The tension filled atmosphere of the classroom, the career forms in teacher's hand are undeniably the culprit of this tension.

"Now then! As you know that, as third year students, you all will have to started thinking seriously about your future careers"

"As we can see here, Many of you want to pursue your dream to become Pro Heroes. and best of luck for you all. But you have to understand that Heroics is a difficult road, I also wanted to be a Hero as well back when I was your age, and here I am teaching in a Middle School. I don't want to discouraging you, But I hope that you may keep it as realistic as possible"

Yamakawa-sensei has always been a serious individual. he might be a strict teacher, But he does really cares about his students and ultimately means well.

"Midoriya"

"Y-Yes!"

The mentioning of his name make Midoriya Izuku instinctively stand up.

"Are you sure that you want to apply to U.A.?"

The question from Yamakawa-sensei make various sounds started buzzing in the classroom

"Wait! Midoriya want to go to U.A.?!"

"What's his Quirk again?"

"It's something along the line of 'Flight' if I remember correctly?"

"Oh! Like that American Hero right? Captain Something-Something..?"

"Can he fly though? I have only ever seen him float"

"That's his Quirk!? I always assumed that was Uraraka's doing"

"Would you really be alright, Midoriya?"

Izuku's face reddened because of the sudden attention from everyone

To his classmates, Izuku has always been a timid and shy boy. Class' younger brother who is despite being the same age, always radiate the energy that make people want to protect him. They also grateful that he is always there to keep his angry best friend in check. They have a feeling that Kacchan would still be able to beat the whole class in a fight even without his legs.

Which is why this came out as a surprise for most people, They could never imagined that their shy little bro would apply to the hardest Hero school in Japan.

"Additionally, Uraraka will also apply alongside him as well, While Bakugou will apply to the Support Course"

This doesn't really came out as a shock to anyone. Uraraka's desire to enter U.A. wasn't really a secret. Uraraka herself is popular to both male and female students. She is cute, friendly and willing to help anyone in need, What's not to like?

Though hard to admit, But Izuku is jealous of Uraraka a little bit. It can't be helped, She literally able to make herself float in addition to be able to make other things float. So her Quirk is practically a straight upgrade to his own. Even though Uraraka is his close friend and he would be very happy to attending U.A. High with her, He still doesn't really appreciate the comparison between their Quirks.

Seeing Bakugou Katsuki tinkering with something in the classroom isn't exactly a rare sight here either. Everybody knew that Kacchan is some sort of an inventor with astronomical ambitions, So him applying to U.A. Support Course make the most sense.

Speaking of Kacchan, He used his legs as a pretext to shut himself inside the lab again. Which teachers also seems to noticed but decided not to do anything about it as long as he still keep his attending rate from being too low. It also helped that Kacchan is the smartest student among their year, So if his grade didn't dropped then there is no problem.

"Y-Yes Sir! I always dreamed of being a Hero one day, and I t-think U.A. is the best place f-for me to learn how to be a Hero!"

Izuku stuttered quite a bit is already within everyone's expectation, That's just a typical Midoriya thing to do.

"Is that so? Then I won't pry any further, I hope that you will do your best and won't have to regret anything afterward"

Yamakawa-sensei nodded, then came along the cheers from his classmate.

"Do your best, Midoriya!"

"Show them what you made of!"

"Imagine 2 of our students made it to U.A. Hero Course, That would be totally crazy!"

While Izuku appreciate supports from his classmates, He is still very shy and can't keep his face from heating up.

"Let's do our best, Deku-kun!"

Uraraka said enthusiastically with a wide smile.

Uraraka kept using the nickname Kacchan gave him, not with a bad intention though. To quote her "It's cute! Don't you think it kinda cheered you up? Make you feels like 'You can do it!" or something like that" which is a lot more positive than its actual meaning. So Izuku decided to let her keep using it, Not like he is capable of saying "No" as an answer anyway.

"O-Oh! Let's do our best, Uraraka-san"

Izuku answered back with an awkward smile.

This is it.

U.A. will be his and Kacchan's actual start line to be the best Pro Hero and Support Inventor respectively.

Melissa is on her first day of jogging routine.

Physical Strength is now her biggest priority.

She is not weak, Her stamina and build is quite good for a girl of her age. She does exercised regularly back at I-Island, You can't really be an inventor without any strength after all.

But it's not nearly enough to be a vessel to One For All, Of course it's not. One For All is contained cumulative strength of all past users into one big physical boost. It's make sense that her current body wouldn't be able to handle its power. Uncle Might already showed her how high the ceiling actually go.

"Absurdly Powerful" is one way to described it, One punch from Uncle Might is enough to change the weather, level an entire city or create a mini Tornado from air pressure alone.

Uncle Might said that if she took the power without being a proper vessel, her limbs would popped off from the sheer power overflow. Melissa is quite curious whether this is true or not, Unfortunately that she couldn't afford to experiment with it, She still like her arms and legs intact to her body.

And now she is in line to be the next inheritor of such an absurd power, Something that she couldn't even quite believe it herself. There are no record of any "Inheritable Quirk" before, It basically turned everything people know about Quirks up-side down

Melissa hersef has her own fair share of questions and doubts. Even then, She isn't going to let this opportunity slip off her hand.

With this Quirk, She can be a Hero.

She will be a Hero.

The Hero like Uncle Might, The Hero that save everyone.

The Hero that her mother would wanted her to be.

Lost in her own thought, Melissa continue her jogging until she reached the beach.

This beach isn't exactly like back in I-Island, It's not as clean or pristean, But not really messy or dirty either. It give of a calm atmosphere which Melissa like.

Her gaze swiped along the scenery, Until she noticed a single figure standing on the beach.

No, It's less "on" the beach but more like "over" the beach.

A single, Green and Floaty individual.

Bakugou Katsuki isn't having a great day right now.

He has been stuck with his current project for two weeks now, but he made no progress at all since the last Friday, or rather he couldn't make any progress due to the materials he ordered from oversea that supposed to arrived today was delayed so instead he has to wait until tomorrow.

Deku's last attempt at using his Quirk in any useful way is also, surprise surprise, a comeplete failure.

It's been so long since he has any free time to himself alone, long enough for him to have completely forgotten any hobbies or activities he could do outside of inventing stuff.

Katsuki pick up a piece of Mochi from the box and took a bite off it. The Mochi he bought from the shop Roundface recommended is actually not bad, He supposed it's to be expected that Mochiface would be a great Mochi connoiseur. Though it didn't really lifted his mood up in the slightest.

Really? Does he has to waste all of his precious holiday(Not an actual holiday) on absolutely nothing, If he had know that the materials won't arrived today then he probably won't take a leave from school. At least spend time with Deku and Roundface would be less boring than this.

Katsuki sighed in a long session. Fuck it, There should be at least some new video of All Might kicking ass on HeroTube. He is no longer a child and seeing those doesn't really bring him as much joy anymore, Still it has nothing else better to do.

He opened the video just to be immediately met with an ad, Of fucking course. It also reminded him that his usual adblocker was taken down because of legal issue.

HeroTube ads has been quite egregious lately which led to users turned to adblockers, So HeroTube went on a killing spree, taken down those adblock programs left and right. Katsuki could afford HeroTube Ultra which has no ad at a "reasonable price" of 1,400 yen per month, But he refused to give those bastards his money so he decided not to buy it.

As the video went on with All Might about to perform his iconic Oklahoma Smash, One of Katsuki's favorite move(Because goddamn! Spinning himself into a Tornado is fucking awesome!) then BAM! Another Ad!?

It's the same fucking Mobile Game ad from before!? Does this Mobile Game developer took over HeroTube company and replaced actual videos on their site with shitty ads or something!? Does he look like someone that would play a Mobile Game!? Motherfuc-!

Wait...

That...?

On the screen is a little pink balloon-like character, Though Katsuki didn't really catch the name of the character nor the game, It doesn't matter either way.

The gameplay they demonstrate is quite simple, The player tapping on the balloon-like character in order to make him float upward. It's an Endless Runner type of game that has no end and the goal is to achieved the score as high as possible, But that's not the point here.

What picked Katsuki's interest is the special move. By pressing and hold on to the screen, when you release it will make the character fly upward at an even higher speed and longer distance than before, the longer you hold the higher you go. This game is quite simple like that.

But...What if...

What if Deku's Quirk allowed him to do the same thing?

Both Deku's and Roundface's Quirk allowed the user to float, But they aren't quite the same thing.

Roundface's Quirk, Zero Gravity, removes the effect of gravity from every solid object she touched. She can make herself float because there are no Gravity to bring her down to the floor.

On the contrary, Deku's Quirk only make himself float, He released some kind of force around himself that going against gravity, which push him upward and enabled his floatness.

What if Deku can gathering said force and release it in one go?

Like...Like some kind of Boost!

Katsuki has known the quote that "Inspiration can come from anywhere" but he never expected to gain such inspiration from a Mobile Game ad.

He grinned. Now, This is getting quite interesting.

Fucking Hell, Does this mean if in the future someone were to ask Deku where did he learned how to fly from, Does he have to answer that he took an inspiration from a shitty Mobile Game ad on HeroTube!?

Katsuki couldn't help but chuckling softly.

As usual, Izuku continue his Quirk training at the Dagobah beach.

He always used this beach for his evening training time, The beach isn't really a populace place or anything, Most people that came here are mostly just passing by during their exercise. Though Izuku prefers to do his physical exercise in the morning and Quirk practice in the evening.

It's a shame that there is no good gym for him to go in Musutafu, He couldn't helped but be a little jealous of those that lived in bigger city, especially those that lived in Yokohama. The place where Might Tower, The greatest Hero agency in the world as well as the castle of All Might himself located. If he lived in Yokohama then he won't missed a chance to go there every single day.

If there is one good thing to be said about his Quirk is that it barely tired him at all, He could maintaining his float state for a whole day and it would only make him a little more tired than usual.Though that might be a little hard since he has to conciously activate it at all time.

So his Quirk training are mostly consisted of making him able to move as freely in the air as possible while maintaining his balance.

Those without levitation Quirk wouldn't know the feeling, But throwing kick or punch without solid ground to stand on is actually pretty hard. It's super easy to lose balance, unable to gain momentum or not able to put in enough strength into the attack.

Now he know why aerial Heroes like Airjet would prefer to use long ranged weapon as their primary weapon.

Every time he practiced punch or kick, He prefers to use an image training which is actually one of his strong suit. He would pictured himself as All Might delivered one of his iconic Smash attack on the villain.

"Was that St. Louis Smash?"

A clear and feminine voice snapped Izuku back from his image training to reality, He turned around to see a blonde haired-beauty standing there

"Oh, Sorry! I didn't mean to interrupted you...! I'm just surprised since St. Louis Smash is one of Unc-All Might more obscured technique, and I have never seen anyone able to replicate this as accurately as you before"

This technique is one of All Might's few kicking techniques that he rarely used. Since All Might prefered to use his arms over his legs in a fight, There aren't many records of him using leg technique in a fight. The usage of St. Louis Smash for example was only recorded two times through out All Might's whole career.

"Y-Yes, The time he used this move in the fight against Cobra Commando always impressed me. Especially when he bought the villain down to the ground then combo-ed into Alabama Smash afterward, Which----"

Normally Izuku wouldn't be able to make a full sentence at all when talking with a stranger, let alone such a beautiful stranger. Fortunately, or rather Unfortunately, that the topic just happened to be about All Might, It send his brain into overdrive and entering babbling mode.

The blonde girl look at him dumbfoundedly for a second, before letting out a soft giggle, Which make Izuku noticed that he fucked up.

"S-Sorry, I just couldn't keep it to myself when started talking about All Might! I know it's creepy but..."

Oh god! She isn't going call a police on him, is she?

"No no, Don't worry about it. It's rather impressive actually, I have never seen anyone talking about Uncle Might this enthusiastically before"

"Uncle Might?"

He expression changed up hearing his question, it suggested that she just said something that she shouldn't out loud. Izuku know this expression well as a master of "saying wrong thing at the wrong time" himself.

"Eh...err...My name is Melissa Shield, You might not know m..."

"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE DAVID SHIELD'S DAUGHTER!!!"

Welp, Seems like he got to demonstrate his mastery immediately.

But he couldn't help it, This is THAT David Shield you know? The guy who made All Might's costume!?

Now it all make sense why she called the Symbol of Peace her uncle. Everyone and their Grandma know that David Shield is All Might's first unofficial sidekick back when he was still operated as a hero in United States. She is one of the few people that know All Might personally.

Some people said that if All Might is The Brawn then David Shield would be The Brain, In a sense he is like All Might's version of Kacchan.

Man, If he is this excited meeting David Shield's duaghter then he might have a heartattack if he ever meet David or All Might himself in a flesh. Izuku has heard of David's daughter, Melissa before, Though he admitted that the supports field isn't really his expertise. Maybe Kacchan would know more about her...probably not, Even if he is a support, he doesn't seems to cared much about other inventors at all.

"Erm...Yes, I'm that Melissa Shield, Nice to meet you"

"M-My name i-is Midoriya Deku--I mean Izuku! Midoriya Izuku! G-Glad to meet you too!"

Oh god, Word couldn't described how lame he is right now

"Sooo...Am I correct to assume that you're training to be a Hero?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm aiming for The Hero Course of U.A. High"

That seems to come out as a surprise for Melissa. Well, U.A. is among one of the best Hero academia in the world, As well as All Might's Alma-Matter, So it wouldn't be a shock to Izuku if U.A. might even be famous oversea as well.

"Do you know about U.A. High?"

"Well, Yes. In fact I'm aiming to go to U.A. Hero Course as well"

Huh, Izuku didn't expected that. You would think the daughter of David Shield is going to be more into tech stuff than Heroics. Though it's not really that weird, People's dream wasn't determined by their parent's job after all, and since she is close to All Might, It would only make sense for him to became her inspiration. So she moved from I-Island(He assume that she lived there) to Japan in order to attend High School?

"W-Wow, Let's both of us do our best then!"

"Yeah, Let's do that"

After that, Izuku spend about half an hour talking with Melissa, He tried to avoid asking All Might as much as possible to not be rude, Though he still couldn't help but let 2 or 3 questions slipped by. What can he do? It's not everyday you get to meet All Mighy's acquaintance.

Before he knew it, the alarm noise rang out from his watch. It's one of the function his mom requested that Kacchan added to Izuku's personal watch, So that he wouldn't lose track of time during training and warning him to go back home before dinner.

"S-Sorry, I have to go!"

"Ah, Don't mind me...So, See you later then?"

"S-See you!"

Melissa is such a good person, He would love to meet her again.

Also who knows? Maybe if both of them passed U.A. entrance exam, They might even become a classmate in the future.
