Summary
Steve shrugs, poking at the small purple flower peeking out in early bloom from a knot in the log. Here, in the moonlight, Eddie can almost see what he’d once been. Bright, bright, bright, a ball of fire and hope and potential burning underneath his skin. Behind his eyes. His knuckles brush against the flora once more and there is stardust in the crooks of his fingers, pressed into the folds of his skin.
