“Welcome to Keep it Glassy, how can I help you,“ Yachi greets when she hears the store bell chime.
It's been a slow day. Between Tadashi and her they've only had 3 costumers today. One of them had been Tadashi's boyfriend.
“Hi, I was wondering if you could adjust my glasses,“ a soft and gentle voice says, “They are kind of crooked, I've been hit by a volleyball.“
When Yachi looks at the costumer, her heart rate immediately picks up.
“I can adjust them, yeah, just takes a minute or two,“ she says nervously and the girl nods, handing her her glasses. Their hands touch and Yachi feels her cheeks heat up.
“I'll be back in a moment,“ she says and walks to the back of the store where she fixes the glasses, hands working on autopilot while her brain's focused on the fact that she just met the most beautiful girl she has ever seen who also seems to be incredibly cool and brave because she's not even scared of wild volleballs.
“You're so cool,“ Yachi says when she comes back which wasn't exactly what she had intended to say but her brain to mouth filter seems to be out of service. “I mean, here are your glasses.“
“Thank you,“ the girl says and puts on her glasses that fit her perfectly again. To Yachi's absolute horror she adds, “I'm sure you're cool, too.“
“I—haha. No, um, thank you,“ Yachi stammers, “I'm really not, though.“
“I'll be the judge of that, Hitoka-san,“ she says with a quick glance at Yachi's name plate, “Let me invite you to that cute new café next door.“
Yachi doesn't have a name plate to look at so se just nods despite not even knowing the girls name. Yet. Hopefully.
"I'd love that!"
