The General turns the item in his hands around this way and that.
There are no instructions so he opens the little plastic packaging and pulls out the black and white item; it was advertised as a panda eye mask!
And he didn't even have to pay for it!
He’d had to buy 3 tubs of ice cream to get this free item which therefore doesn't really make it a free item. Humans like to fool each other like that.
A small piece of paper slips out with the mask and it tells him not to give it to small children because it is a dangerous item despite not looking dangerous at all. Seems like it gets less dangerous the older you get. Maybe it simply has no respect for children.
He unfolds the mask and smiles when he sees the big round eyes printed onto it. There are little black ears at the top, too!
He is excited to try it on so he does, securing the mask with the black rubber band attached to it.
He can not see.
The mask is highly impractical because it is so cute but now that he's wearing it he can't appreciate its cuteness.
(He later learns it is a sleep mask, something he can wear when he sleeps or just wants to rest his eyes. It doesn't seem all that practical but he finds out using it as a headband gives him cute little panda ears and leaves his vision intact!)
