Summary
Cal’s head rests comfortably on Bode’s shoulder, he likes the touch, craves it, needs it. He likes when Bode touches him, small touches that could be insignificant to anybody else. His knuckles pressing to Cal’s as they walk, his fingers brushing a strand of hair out of Cal’s face, his forehead touching Cal’s and filling Cal up with something he couldn’t even describe if he tried. Cal doesn’t remember what this is, he’s been away from it for so long, at first he thought he saw Bode as a pet project, the same way Second Sister sees the Inquisitor. Now though, he knows what he feels, and even though he’s scared of it he lets it cover him up like a blanket, coaxing him down from the line.
