Jaeyun hates his pack. He has witnessed horrible things, but when Riki's mom dies at hands of her mate, Jaeyun runs away with the pup at his side.
He decides they don't need a pack, and he does everything it takes to protect Riki. Eventually they find a stray alpha who will help him take care of Riki as they begin to form a pack of stray wolves.
Or. Things go smoothly in the new formed pack until Jaeyun presents as beta.
