Summary
She hated it, all of it.
Cosima never had the chance to experience what it feels to have that connection with someone. Not her friends, not any strangers in a bar, no one. After a couple of decades it does get old, painful even. Humans are social beings, meant to share their lives, thoughts, drama, and whatever else there is.
One day was all it took for her whole world to turn upside down. Along with studying like her brain is on fire, and hanging out with her friends to let it fume out, the old family apparently had moved out of their next-door house. It didn’t take long for it to be sold to the highest bidder. She didn’t think much of it back then, but that was all meant to happen. Her world was burning, and now the sun has set.
