On what felt like a normal night, a certain pink haired editor sat quite comfortably on her swiveling chair.
Cool air permeated the room as the gentle hum of the AC was just enough background noise for them to forgo opening up their music playlist.
"Tonight feels like a quiet one..." She sat with her legs lazily posted up on her desk, her vision wandering to the ceiling with no thought in particular.
One glance at her PC's clock showed that it'd be a couple more minutes until any sort of N25 chatting would occur, maybe she'll just get started working on that MV.
Ah right, Enanan said that she'd have a new illustration to fit the lyrics. Guess getting ahead was a no-go unless she wanted to painstakingly insert a new asset into an already finished project.
The pinkette groaned out of slight frustration, there just wasn't anything to do!
"Ugh... Enanan's been less active than usual and Mafuyu and Kanade are normally dealing with their own stuff so it's not like I can just barge into their DMs!-"
But before she'd start performing a soliloquy to her poor stuffed toys and figurines about all of her mild inconveniences out of pure boredom, out of nowhere the all too familiar ping of a nightcord DM rang out through her headphones.
"Hm? What's this?" Curious, she drops her legs that were on top of her keyboard to have a view of her monitor.

Judging from the awful nickname structure and that Ena was the one who told them, it was safe to assume this was probably Akito, but what would they want from Mizuki?

Well their guess was correct, unsurprisingly. They wondered the reasons on why he was talking to them but wondering won't get them answers, accepting the friend request they finally type back.

A few moments passed as the boy took a bit to respond, it almost felt like he struggled to explain what he had to say.

The sudden directness took the girl aback, almost swiveling a full 180° due to being flustered.
"This is Ena's brother-- I shouldn't be getting ahead of myself here haha..." Picking herself back up, she faces the monitor once more.

Such a little message was enough to get their heart beating, she tried not to think too hard about it but some lingering thoughts of Akito felt... Nice? Stop-- Remember, Ena's brother.

Amidst this playful chatting, a message from their group popped up. Clicking on the server it seemed that Kanade and Mafuyu were going to be unavailable.

No meeting today, Kanade needs to rest she's been overworking herself.
It seemed like Mafuyu caught Kanade again, and is typing using her setup. "It's adorable seeing those two... I hope they can rest properly." A warm smile emerging from the girl's face.

She could feel the chilling glare even through a text message, it was honestly enough to send shivers down their spine.
Regardless, since it seemed that there wasn't anything else to work on she might aswell spend the remainder of her time chatting with Akito.
And with that thought in her mind was another ping from the boy, excitedly she returns back to their conversation with him.

She quickly responded, forgoing any sort of snark or sarcastic remark. "It's not that... I don't want to attend-" She mumbles to herself, this particular topic definitely got to her.
Akito sensed it aswell, he didn't want to necessarily avoid the topic but rather try and solve it. He'd rather give solutions than comfort someone since, he frankly admits he's not good at those kinds of talks.

Mizuki had honestly planned on leaving the conversation at that, she figured she'd just make up an excuse and not go tomorrow, not the first time she's ever done that.

Mizuki sat quietly, quite frankly they felt pretty vulnerable about everything so she just felt like calling it a night and shutting everyone out. But those words he typed, however rough around the edges they were, just perfectly felt like him. And so she eventually finds the strength the smile once more, she has a good feeling about what tomorrow might hold for her.
