Tom smirked as he snagged the last chocolate frog from the veritable trove of candy Harry had smuggled him. He didn't even like them — just wanted to beat the other boy to it. His glee was interrupted by Harry's exaggerated sigh.
“So this girl-”
Tom immediately scoffed.
“Not like that!” Harry grouched. “Ron's sister, Ginny. Remember her?”
“Unfortunately.”
“Well, she sent a singing cupid to me-”
“What did it say?” Tom interrupted, chuckling at Harry's aggravated expression. “I imagine it must have been glorious.”
“She compared my eyes to a freshly pickled toad.”
Tom cackled. “No truer love than that.”
