It had been about almost a year since Tony had dinner with Frances that final night at the four seasons he missed the feeling of cuddling in that king sized bed feeling every inch of her curves it was best cuddles he ever had and it was therapeutic he had dated since but nothing ever compared to Frances touch no one was ever able to bring him so much comfort and happiness like she did. The goodbye was rough as he had awoken to a note on the side table as Frances suddenly had to leave as her publisher was on her ass recommending her book on tranquillum would be a hit. He was happy to have Anna and Lacie his daughters in his life again and was better then he had been before Tranquillum but something just was a miss.. his Frances. The youngest Lacie knew all too well and hated seeing her dad in so much pain and was so worried he would relapse missing Frances.
“Hey dad..what’s up..” Lacie’s voice interrupted Tony’s thoughts her chin resting on his shoulder as he was sitting on his patio looking at the sunset which reminded him of when he and Frances watched the one on the hotel balcony while snuggling and kissing. Oh did he want that back.
“Hey sweetheart!” Tony said smiling and hugging her so grateful to have her and Anna back in his life again
“What are you thinking about?” Lacie asked smiling hugging back sitting with him
“Oh uh..” he began getting choked up
“You’re thinking about Frances again aren’t you?” She said holding his hand
“Yeah..yeah”
“You should call her..dad just do it I know you love her and she loves you I never even see you this way with mom when she was alive” Lacie said
“Really?” Tony asked
“Uh huh”
“I just am worried she’s upset and been too busy and found someone else..”
“I don’t think so I just have a feeling she’s thinking about you too even tho she’s probably busy with writing and work right now”
“Maybe you know what why don’t I try to call her tomorrow?”
“You should if not I’ll call for you” Lacie said
“Man you’re more desperate for me to marry again” Tony joked as she laughed
“I just want you happy I see the way you light up when you talk about her she clearly is amazing and I want to get to know her too if she’s bringing a new side of you out with us she’s clearly made you a better person and dad” Lacie said
“You’re right she did” Tony said sighing
Of course the next day he chickened out and also forget being he had a tv interview that day when it came to his experience and being sober for a special on his life and how’s it turned around as people were inspired and intrigued by his heart warming story and how he reconnected with his daughters and stayed by then when his ex wife was unfortunately dying of cancer so they had someone it was also good he was able to reconcile with Diana before she passed and even was by her side when she took her last breath and promised he’d look after the girls and stay for good and stay clean and sober he felt it was important for her to see that and die knowing he was better.
Lacie decided to take matters into her own hands and dialled Frances number on her cell phone
Frances was sitting by her pool side when she heard her cellphone rang she went and picked it up as it was a local area code but unknown number and she was hoping Tony finally got the balls to give her a call after she quickly left her cell number on the hotel bedside
“Hi this Frances!” She said picking up
“Frances? Frances Welty?”
“Uh huh who is this”
“My name is Lacie I’m Tony’s daughter well one of em”
“Oh my god hi so nice to meet well or talk to you what’s up is your dad okay? Are you girls okay?” Frances was worried now
“Oh no no nothing bad dads fine he still talks about you like only every day”
“He does?” Frances said feeling herself choke up
“He does so listen why I’m calling is that he’s doing another interview today for his upcoming documentary on his turnaround and I think it’d be sweet for you to surprise him as he will def bring you up and when he does you’ll come in oh Frances he’d been wanting to contact you so bad but keeps chickening out and Anna and I ever since he told us about you we wanna meet you as it would be great to have a mom figure again since our mom passed away from cancer not long ago..”
“Ohhh god..oh Lacie I’m sorry are you free to come by soon I wanna meet you girls too? What time is his filming crew coming?”
“Not for a few hours me and Anna can come as soon as possible we’ll just tell dad Anna needed to get some tampons he won’t question it”
Frances laughed “okay see you soon I can’t wait to meet you both!”
“You too bye text me the address”
“Okay” Frances said
Within about 30 minutes Anna and Lacie pulled into the driveway
“Wow she’s has a beautiful house” Anna said
“No kidding” Lacie said
“You message the reporter with what we’re doing and she’ll help?”
“Yup all good”
“Okay Ready?”
“Yeah oh god I can’t wait I wanna see who’s been making dad so happy”
The girls got out of the car and walked up to knock on the door it immediately opened to see the beautiful curvaceous women Tony was head over heels for dressed in a red floral dress.
“Hi Frances Welty?” Lacie asked
“Lacie! Anna!” Frances said waving them inside
“Oh my goodness it’s so nice to meet you can I hug you?” Lacie asked
“Oh honey of course I was gonna ask you both the same thing get in here!” Frances said opening her arms to her as Lacie felt herself suddenly collapse on her crying
“You’re all he ever talks about and you brought back the fun loving side of him for good you’re the reason he gets out of bed” Lacie sobbed as Frances sighed crying now too
“It’s true I never seen him this happy Frances thank you for everything you’ve done..thank you for bringing our dad back” Anna said crying too as she hugged Frances next
“We were so worried our moms death would put him in a depression she made him happy but clearly you made him happy in a way she couldn’t he was sad when she passed but he loves you.. you’re the one..the one for him” Lacie sniffled
“Oh my god” Frances said wiping her eyes
“Thank you..thank you..” Lacie cried as she hugged Frances
“Awww well your dad changed my life too and i would love to see him again and for good you’ll be able to help with that?” Frances asked
“Always!” Anna said going in as Frances pulled her into the giant hug
“You’re so beautiful in person oh my goodness dad was right” Lacie said
“Oh thanks” Frances said blushing “you’re both gorgeous as well Lacie you look so much like your dad like the spitting image of him”
“Yeah so I been told anyway you ready to see him again?”
“Yes let’s go” Frances said as Anna grabbed her hand leading her to her car
“So what pulled you through when that horrible stuff was happening to everyone by Tranquillum house?” The female reporter asked ..honestly I haven’t really talked about this openly yet but it was Frances Welty she saved my life she was someone who comforted me during my dark periods and withdrawals I really don’t know what I would of done if I didn’t have her we got very close..as close as you’re probably thinking..I wanted to contact her and I miss her like crazy but I don’t know she’s probably occupied right now and living miles away traveling and getting more writing ideas” Tony said chuckling
“Awww that’s sweet so if she’s watching right now when this airs is there anything you wanna say we’ll get out to her?”
“Yeah sure” Tony said choking up little did he know Frances was listening around the corner crying while Lacie was comforting her
“Frances I’m sorry I haven’t contacted you in a while I just I didn’t know what to say or do I thought maybe you were moving on but if you see this…I love you and I’m thinking about you and I’d love to see you you are why I’m better..I just wanna hug you so bad I miss you..” Frances slowly snuck behind him with a hand on his shoulder
“I miss and love you too” she spoke as Tony turned out rapidly to see the beautiful woman standing right in front of him smiling with tears in her eyes
“Oh my..god..oh my god! Frances!?” Tony felt his hands shaking as he tried reached out to touch her face and see if she’s real feeling the tears uncontrollably coming then collapsing to his knees in shock
“Yeah who else would be.. give me a hug you big dummy” Frances said getting down with him pulling him close as Tony just broke down in her arms burying his face in her shoulder as she reached up to stroke his hair
“I can’t believe this..I thought I was dreaming..” Tony sobbed clinging to her as if someone would tear her away again as she swayed side to side
“But you’re not! I’m here! Im right here Tony” Frances whispered to him kissing his face and wiping his tears just holding him for dear life
“Oh my god Frances!” Tony kept saying her name over and over
“I’m so sorry..I shouldn’t have taken off like that..” Frances said as they pulled back for a second so they could look at one another and also she could fix her glasses and wipe her eyes
“Shhhh hey hey it’s okay..but you’re here now aren’t you and I’m so glad you are baby” Tony said as he then going in for a very passionate kiss. Frances melted hearing him call her baby for the first time since that night kissing him back as his daughters and the film crew applauded as they stood back up as they went in for another embrace as Frances leapt into his arms as he lifted her off the ground
“I love you” Frances said kissing him over and over
“I love you too Frances” Tony said holding her close to him after putting her back down on her feet touching the ground again. “What the fuck are you doing here?!” Tony said smooching her forehead
“Lacie set this up they wanna see you happy and so do I and you also make me happy would you be able to let me back in again?” Frances said
“Of course of course” Tony said crying again as Frances held him again
“Awwww sweetie I know I know it was hard being away from you for me too” Frances said rubbing his back as they sat on the couch and he lay across her lap as she cradled him like he was a giant baby as the reporter was wiping her eyes and got herself together as Tony sat up as he and Frances snuggled together holding hands
“So I guess safe to say you guys are dating ?” She asked as Tony and Frances laughed at the question
“Yeah I love him more then anything when Lacie called me I just couldn’t resist” Frances said smiling at him
“What’s going through your mind Frances?”
“Just um..that I can’t believe he’s here right now..” Frances crying again as Tony comfort her she looked over to see Anna and Lacie also sobbing and smiled through her own tears and waved them over to come sit with them and each girl sat on either side of them
“Lacie Anna how does it feel seeing your dad finally with the woman he always talked about when he came home?”
“It’s amazing I know I just met Frances earlier today to do this and usually when you’re in love people tend to overexaggerate and really over hype someone when you’re head over heels but she literally I can say is dad described her to a tee I saw immediately why he loves her” Lacie said as Anna nodded and added “she was so approachable and you just immediately feel comfort when in her presence so I can see how she helped dad a lot”
“Awww girls you’re too sweet” Frances said squeezing thier hands
“Okay bring it in all of you I need to hug all my girls at once” Tony said as he pulled them in closer as Frances was sandwiched between him and the girls
“You got such sweet girls Tony you must love your dad if you wanting to do this for him to make him happy he’s lucky to have you” Frances said
“Same goes for you” Anna said patting her arm
“Well goes to show when you have people who you really love there to help you can get through anything” the reporter said closing the interview as the film cut even after they just continued to all stay where they were Tony was finally in his happy place in the arms of his beautiful now official girlfriend and his daughters back life was officially complete.
