   Summary

Shelby Penwood had an extremely taxing job---he tried always to be a man's man, even when he felt as effective as a kitchen sponge.

Seras Victoria was also a woman of conviction, but her tendency for blood certainly muddied the water.

   A strange friendship blooms.
