‘The Story of the Master of Souls, the Clan of Emrys, and the Greatest Wizard of Them All.’
July was stumped for a moment — the ‘Clan of Emrys?’ She had never heard of it, though many a wizard carried the last name Emrys — everyone seemed to like naming themselves after the most legendary one.
The book was ancient, falling apart at the spine. Gingerly, July brought it open. The contents told her there were three main parts of the book — The Mortal Myth Himself, The Clan of Emrys, and The Mastery of Souls, all numbering about 300 pages. But that couldn’t be right, for it was quite thin — a hundred pages, perhaps, but no more.
When she’d reached the second part — The Clan of Emrys — she came to realise why the book was so thin. Once, it really could’ve been 300 pages thick, but now, everything beyond number 104 had been ripped out, and quite messily at that — as though in a hurry.
Her brows furrowed, her eyes read along the only page left of the second part. A brief introduction.
(Canon rewrite/Fix-it/OC-insert hybrid that tries to solve all the issues of bigotry and general cruelty that Joanne managed to pull off in her original Harry Potter series.)
