You can use any 11/0 or 15/0 seed beads for this project, but I recommend 11/0 Toho seed beads because of their uniformity in size and shape. You will also need beading thread (I recommend 6lb Fireline in Crystal), a needle, and the appropriate findings including thread guards, jump rings, and earring hooks.
The first row is executed in 1-drop brick stitch and the next 8 rows in 2-drop brick stitch. Then, the remainder of the design is executed in fringe.
The groups of three black grid cells near the bottom of the fringe represent alphabet beads spelling out "BLAHAJ." I used a single black seed bead (represented by the purple grid cell on the graph) for the diacritic. (Don't forget to place the alphabet beads facing in the opposite direction for the second earring! You can see what I mean in the photo below.)
