Summary
“Oh,” his mom says, a gentle, almost breathy sound. “Okay, darling. Do we know him? Can you tell us his name?”
This should be the perfect moment to go back on his lie and accept the fact that, as long as he doesn’t get a real boyfriend, Chan’s parents won’t believe him when he says he’s bisexual. But his mom looks so understanding, so accepting; this is what he wants now, and not in the future.
“It’s Seungkwan hyung,” Chan stumbles through the syllables, then clears his throat. “Seungkwanie. I’m dating Seungkwan.”
Chan's parents don't believe him when he tells them he's bisexual. Naturally, he lies about dating his best friend Seungkwan to convince them that he is. It just so happens that they have an upcoming beach vacation, and Chan suggests Seungkwan should go with them.

Chan hears footsteps coming closer to him, but instead of hearing the sound of someone pulling out a chair, he feels a hand on his shoulder. It’s a light touch, and yet it still startles him; his shoulders go up in surprise, but that doesn’t stop the hand from trailing its way to his neck. There’s a fingertip at the base of Chan’s neck, climbing up slowly, until he feels it under his chin and forcing his head up.
Chan lets him do it just because it’s easier than to fight back; he sits up straight again, holding his breath when he finally looks into Seungkwan’s eyes—they’re upside down, and the angle makes Seungkwan’s face look rounder, but Chan’s heart stops all the same. He closes his eyes on instinct when Seungkwan gets closer, and the gentle finger on his chin turns into a warm hand resting around his neck. A brief kiss on his lips makes Chan sigh, almost reaching out to hold Seungkwan’s face and keep him close, but the kiss is over before he can do that.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Seungkwan asks, lips still close enough for Chan to kiss him again if he wants to, a whisper so low it doesn’t feel like a performance for Chan’s parents.
“Uh,” Chan says, eloquently. He tries to find his words, an explanation—anything, really—but nothing comes to him. His heart is hammering in his chest and his palms are getting clammy, his fingers flexing around nothing. “Uh… Um.”
“Leave the kissing for later, we have news!”
Chan finally finds it in him to breathe when Seungkwan looks away, smiling at Chan’s father and asking what’s the news.
