Summary
Dean has been mute since he saw his mom die at the age of five. That was twenty years ago, and he has since learned sign language--which comes in handy when he gets a commission to paint murals at a local aquarium, and meets a mysterious mermaid named Castiel who is being held captive there. Over the weeks they are together, the pair grow more and more fond of each other, and Dean becomes desperate to get Castiel to freedom, even if that means never seeing him again.
