At Phoenix Wonderland, many people were seated in front of the Wonder Stage, waiting for Wonderlands X Showtime's new show, which was about to start. One of those many people was Kohane Azusawa, Wonderlands X Showtime's self proclaimed #1 fan. To show this, she was wearing her jacket covered in Wondershow pins along with her Ruikasa t-shirt. Kohane loved Ruikasa, the pairing between Rui Kamishiro and Tsukasa Tenma, and she really hoped they would get together someday. Kohane also had her hair tied with two lavender scrunchies to show her support for the new member of the unit who Kohane had seen on their social media posts and also at school, because they went to the same school.
"Wonderhello everyone!" a small, pink-haired girl who Kohane and every other Wondershow fan knew as Emu yelled from the stage, "Welcome to the Wonder Stage! I am Emu Otori! We have a few things to say before we start the show today! First of all..."
A girl with long, purple hair tied in a ponytail and a dress decorated with pom-poms and stars came onto the stage. Emu backed away from her a little "...let's welcome Mafuyu Asahina to the Wonder Stage! Wan-wan-wonderhoy!"
"Wonderhoy! I'm glad to be here and I'm looking forward to doing shows with everyone!" she said, and then she went to join Nene Kusanagi on the left side of the stage. "Also..." Emu continued her announcement and Rui and Tsukasa stepped forward from the right side, "Rui Kamishiro is now Rui Tenma!"
Kohane began kicking her legs around and giggling in excitement. She didn't care how unlikely it was that two 17 year olds were suddenly married with no mention of a wedding let alone any kind of romantic relationship beforehand, her ship was real and-
"That's right! Tsukasa has adopted Rui! They're brothers now!"
Oh god.
Tsukasa put his arm around Rui, but it did not feel the same as every other time he did this. Kohane pulled her phone out of her pocket in its Tsukasa phone case. She opened the Phoenix Wonderland forum, thought for a bit, and then typed out a post:
"Love is dead and it never existed. I feel worthless knowing my dream is dead and it will never live again, and that their love will never be. Although I will continue to watch their shows it will never truly feel the same."
Kohane was not usually this dramatic but in this moment she needed to be. She posted it, but she noticed something was missing and quickly added:
"Edit: Proud of Mafuyu for joining Wondershow BTW! I know her IRL and she’s pretty cool."
She then zipped up her jacket to cover her shirt, checked her jacket for Ruikasa pins, took them off and put them in her pocket, along with her phone because the show was starting. The show was pretty good but she was still thinking about Rui and Tsukasa. While she knew that it was their choice and that she had absolutely no part in it, she had basically dedicated her whole life to Ruikasa, posting on forums and buying merch, so after the show she was still pretty upset. While she was leaving the Wonder Stage, she ran into her friend Minori, who was looking at the Phennys.
"Hi Minori."
"Hey Kohane! Are you ok?"
"No, Tsukasa adopted Rui and it feels weird because I've pretty much dedicated my life to wanting them to get together and now I don't know what to do."
"Yeah, I have noticed that the Rui Phenny sign says "Rui Tenma Phenny" instead of "Rui Kamishiro Phenny" now. I thought they got married though."
"You too?"
"Yeah. By the way, have you gotten one of the new Mafuyu Phennys yet?"
"No, but I plan to. I have to complete my Wondershow-themed Phenny collection!"
"I'm getting a Mafuyu Phenny too, for one of my friends. She collects penguin merch, and she thinks Phennys are penguins."
"They're phoenixes."
"I know, but I don't have the heart to tell her because she's so pretty- I mean because I don't want to upset her!"
"Fair."
"By the way, have you ever been to Weekend Garage? It's really cool!"
"No, where is it?"
"Vivid Street. Do you know where Vivid Street is?"
Kohane pulled out her phone and typed "Where the hell is Vivid Street?" into the search bar. "Yeah, I think so."
"Cool."
"I'll just buy this Mafuyu Phenny and then I'll go!"
"Ok, bye Kohane! Just don't get it confused with Weekday Garage!"
"Bye Minori, I won't!"
Kohane proceeded to buy the Mafuyu Phenny, and then began to make her way to Vivid Street.
