Summary
After being rescued from the brink of death, you start anew in Jackson. It doesn't take long for you to settle in, finding your place in the town as a midwife and baker. A few years into your new life, Tommy's brother shows up at the gates with a young girl. They continue on their journey before returning several months later, something having brought them back from their destination. Joel and Ellie move into the home across from you. You like Ellie, but worry about what happened on the trip that's made her so withdrawn. You like Joel as well, more than you probably should. When he's assigned to help you with the heavy lifting at the bakery, you begin to grow close with him.
