    Pon farr comes unexpectantly when the Enterprise travels to the past and Spock has only some hours to live, as he can't go to Vulcan or back to the present on time. Captain Kirk has noticed Spock's weird behavior and he visits him in his room. Maybe that will be what helps Spock survive.
