Summary

Alma Madrigal is the mayor of her small town. Whenever anything doesn’t go her way, or just if she fancies it, she takes all her frustrations out on her youngest granddaughter. Isabela has also started joining in. Luisa is away at university and Julieta and Agustin work for an international medical aid charity, so are often away from home, so none of them are aware of the abuse (Mirabel hides it with make-up and clothes when they’re home) and Antonio is also unaware. The rest of the family know but don’t intervene for fear of drawing Alma’s ire to themselves or their children.
A sleepover when Luisa visits home reveals all. Will Alma finally face justice?
