Into the Dark and Dust

Summary:

Kissy was incredibly sad when Poppy told her that Huggy died.

She didn’t blame the ex-employee but…

She was really devastated.

Or: (Huggy survives and Kissy finds out)

HELLO THERE MY GREAT AMIGOS, I HAVE DELIVERED A FIC.

(NEED CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔)

After finding zero fics where Huggy lives and Kissy feels better, I have personally decided to create a fic myself.

YAYA, I FEEL, BETTER!!!!

(Edit 1: did my best to fix the weird spacing. 💀💀💀, the spacing I did was crazy, dunno what I was thinking when I posted this.)

Chapter Text

Kissy didn’t feel like being around the ex-employee or CatNap right now.

What CatNap did was terrible, and if anything, she wanted to never see him again. He had hurt her friends, hurt DogDay.

She couldn’t see how DogDay was so unwary around him.

She was glad that the ex-employee and Poppy were wary, and that they didn’t trust CatNap completely.

It’s just…

She didn’t understand how someone like CatNap got to live while Huggy…

She couldn’t think about this right now.

She stood on the cold, dark cement floor.

“Hey, are you okay?” Poppy asked quietly.

Kissy was going to shrug but she decided against. Instead, she frowned and shook her head.

“Is something bothering you?”

Kissy nodded.

Poppy is, and has, been very nice to Kissy ever since they met. She was thankful, and glad that Poppy continued to be an absolute sweetheart.

“Is it CatNap?” Poppy automatically guessed.

Kissy nodded.

“I understand why you don’t like him, and I feel the way you feel… However we need any leverage we can get against the Prototype. If you don’t want to be around him, that’s fine, I can find a way to keep him away from you.”

Kissy shook her head.

Kissy didn’t want to be around CatNap. But they were fighting against the Prototype, if they went to separate into groups he would definitely pick them off one by one. And if there was a small chance he didn’t pick them off, they would still be at a disadvantage if they came across one of his disciples.

“Alright… tell me whenever you feel uncomfortable though, alright?” Poppy looked at her and smiled sincerely.

Kissy nodded before thinking.

How were they going to kill the Prototype?

“Hey, are you sure this is safe? It’s pretty foggy and dusty over here.” The ex-employee wounded incredibly wary.

“As long as we don’t split up we’ll be fine.” Poppy commented.

“Alright.”

The five of them gathered closely and walked into the fog.

It was dark and hard to see through the fog. There was a high chance that one of them could trip.

“Hey, I hear something. It sounds like, really scratchy.”

“I hear it too.”

I hear it as well.”

“That’s not good. Is something following us?”

THACK

“There’s something following us! Never mind, two things are following us. Three… Just split up! Go! We’ll meet up back at the elevator.”

Kissy looked around to see if she could find Poppy or the others, but she saw no signs of them.

This wasn’t good.

She decided that she should probably not stay here and just make a run for it!

She had made it to a more darker part of the factory.

The room she was in had many doors, and many storage related stuff. It was like a main storage room, or maybe an access point considering how many doors were there. She would definitely get lost, or maybe she already was lost.

She would get even more lost if she continued to go through random doors.

However it felt better if she did. After all, those things might be actively looking for her. It would be a lot easier just to run away…

And what about her friends? Are they safe?

Kissy sighed and sat sadly by the storage boxes.

If her friends died from those things, there was a great chance she would never escape this terrible factory.

She had memories of the outside but they slowly became lost to time. She had dreams about the outside, but all she could get were glimpses. And her hope, well… she had none.

Huggy had died, Mommy had died, almost all of the smiling critters besides DogDay, had died.

She was probably going die too if one of his followers caught her.

This was just an unfortunate problem that could’ve been solved if the Prototype never did what he did.

She put her hands around her legs.

So many had died and suffered, and for what cost? Even if it was to get justice, why? If they planned it correctly they all could’ve escaped, the children included. Had they all just breached containment at once and escaped, this catastrophe, this senseless slaughter, wouldn’t have happened.

Were they all truly just blood thirsty monsters?

Huggy… he had attacked the ex-employee at first sight. But why? He didn’t worship the Prototype so there wasn’t the possibility that he was commanded to kill him.

Was it really because he was blood thirsty?

Were they all blood thirsty? Having an unsatisfiable thirst? Was it always this way?

Did the people who worked here make them into blood thirsty monsters?

It all seemed so upsetting.

This place felt like a never ending nightmare that was filled with pain and hunger.

But… if there was a small chance she could escape, she would take it.

After thinking for awhile and deciding what to do, she decided to open a random door to her left to go into another room.

A place that seemed like an endless hallway.

The hallway wasn’t barren, there were rooms and other doors but it definitely went a long ways.

Another thing to think about was why did they make all these rooms? For what purpose did it gain them to do this?

She really felt like questioning things. All that’s happened. All this death, murder, and destruction, was it all really worth it?

Was there really hope in this factory? Was there really hope for their world? A world that had been controlled by the people who lied to them when they were children. There was another world outside of this factory, but they wouldn’t ever let them see it again.

This was a place you could, and couldn’t call home.

There was dangers that lurked in the dark, and nightmares of an hour that would never be forgotten.

There was also people who were your family and friends, who could comfort you in your darkest moments.

Were was a great word to use.

Because she had no family now, and barely any friends.

Most of them were lost to hunger and the very same monsters that lived in the factory.

She couldn’t bare to see any of her friends die.

Huggy…

He was her best friend, and in a way, even family.

It was sad that recently, before he died, they had grown slightly apart. Oh how she wished that wasn’t the case. To leave after a bitter note was sad, but your friend dying slightly after a bitter note? It felt terrible, she felt terrible.

Maybe she was just lonely and felt hopeless. She felt like she couldn’t do anything at all about any of her friends deaths.

How lonely it was when you had no one to be around with, no one interact with. No one to talk to.

But no matter what, she continued on.

She wanted to, and had to. For her friends, for her family.

She had to find them.

Notes:

Things to note:

1. Poppy is actually going to ride on top of CatNap since it isn’t as much of a hassle as Kissy carrying her.

2. Kissy really does care about Huggy, and was extremely sad to hear he died.
(Especially since they left each other alone after a bitter note.)

3. Poppy, the player, and Kissy are wary of CatNap, even if he did find some legs for DogDay to use.

4. HAMBURGERRRRR 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA NOTES: DONT WORRY YOUR BLUE SOUR PATCH KID IS FINE.
