Summary
Lord Gale Hightower, heir to The Hightower in Oldtown, betrothed to Princess Aerea Targaryen, is finally making his way to king's landing to meet and marry her. Lauded as the jewel of the realm and even Queen Rhaenyra come again. She is the third rider of the great war dragon Caraxes and far, far above his station.
At least that is who he thought he was marrying. When the princess turns out to be the handsome Prince Astarion instead, Gale didn't entirely know how he managed to get so lucky. The couple soon meet their match as Lord Halsin Mormont quickly slides his way into their marriage bed and into their hearts soon after.
(In other words. Astarion is trans and the Targaryens want to sweep him under the rug. Unintentionally sending him off to the one very very homosexual lord who would actually love him for him.)
