“You know you can talk to me, right? About anything.” Sirius looked so soft, so beautiful. Even as Remus pushed him away, he looked open, vulnerable. It was a privilege for Remus to see Sirius like this, but he couldn’t appreciate it when all he wanted was to feel that long dark hair running through his fingers. He needed to know what Sirius felt like under his body, what he sounded like as Remus bit and licked and sucked marks into his throat where anyone and everyone could see who he belonged to.
Not yours, Remus. Sirius doesn’t belong to you.
He didn’t deserve the privilege of Sirius’ vulnerability.

Remus starts to notice a shift in his two best friends. When James and Sirius officially announce their relationship, Remus is far less than thrilled about it; Regulus shares his sentiments. They hatch a plan to break up this budding relationship while Remus struggles to control the wolf inside that is scratching to get to the surface and take what's his. Regulus is doing this purely out of selfless concern for his brother, of course. No other reason.
