Work Text:

The crosshair mirrored on my face

Omega and Crosshair may not have started as best friends, not even liking each other. It had been more of Crosshair having tolerated the Kid when Hunter had decided Omega would go with them after Order 66. Omega, well, she had mixed feelings about the surly sniper.

Well, after all of the efforts made though, things had not gone as planned. With the whole Empire thing happening and all, the divide between them growing into a sizeable right. So the two had not really interacted that much. Not before, not like they did now.

As here they both were, prisoners of the evil regime hell bent on galactic domination!

“Crosshair?”

She could see the tremors of his hands which made her feel even worse about poor Crosshair. Never having the seen the sniper being nothing but confident even when agitated when the chip had first activated. But this as something totally different. He was shaking like a leaf in the cold winds, ready to fall down at any moment. Omega feared for Crosshair’s health and sanity.

When Crosshair finally reacted to her voice, raising his head to look at her… the scope tattoo was aimed right at her, in the exact same place. Mirroring the precise marking of the sniper on her face.

It was then, when Omega felt it. The one thing she had missed from Crosshair, the wayward brother she hardly had the time to get to know before perhaps now. The connection Omega finally shared, with Crosshair.

Omega felt then in the moment as if the trademark scope of he sniper’s was painted on her face too. And it was then, when she understood Crosshair better than she had ever before.
