Summary
Steve finds a poem on a crumpled note in his locker and has no idea who wrote that for him. He finds another note, then another poem scribbled in the school, then another one etched on a tree.
He keeps finding poems and keeps finding Billy Hargrove - until death finds them, and he’s left alone with his grief and everything that could’ve been.
Except Billy is a lot tougher than he thought, except he finds a way to communicate even through different dimensions - through poems.
What’s left for Steve is to save him - and to maybe explore what he felt was happening between them.
