“Yuuga.”
Of his former classmates, Izuku’s first to speak, his whisper shattering the silence. Tension, uncertainty, fear hang in the air between them. It feels as if they’re a thousand miles apart.
“I-Izuku.” Yuuga’s voice breaks. Does he even have the right to call his name anymore?
And then Izuku surges forward, out of the crowd, and wraps him up in a hug.
“It’s okay, Yuuga,” he whispers. “I forgive you.”
Yuuga knows in his heart that it isn’t okay, isn’t as easy as his friend says, but with Izuku holding him tightly, it feels almost like it could be.
