    Jenrila Blackthorn would have been hard-pressed to find someone more different to her than Astarion Ancunin was. A paladin, oathbound to Helm, and a city guard for Baldur's Gate versus a poncy high-society elf who seemed to have nothing but complaints to levy at every single situation they were in. Thrown together by bad luck and a shared mind flayer parasite infection, the two are forced to work alongside each other and a ragtag group of similarly-infected individuals to find a solution to their problem.

    And, maybe, the two can find common ground amongst all the chaos, a refuge in each other, and perhaps learn to tolerate their opposing half in something that approaches but isn't quite yet a relationship.
