Summary
In plain glasses, dark liquid sits on both sides of the table. A drink of some sort, though the smell she couldn't recognise consciously. She vaguely remembers something similar on Commander Ikari's breath, in the first few months of her life, but that period is a blur of snapshot memories where the camera always was just a little out of focus. Alcohol of some kind, she'd presume. She'd read about it, but her life being limited to NERV headquarters, school, her apartment, and Commander Ikari's bed meant she'd never actually seen the thing.
Commander Ikari sits opposite her, deep blue eyes like the sky in the liminal space between night and day, peering down at her through his glasses. He doesn't look at anything else like that. "Have a drink."
