   Summary

   In a manor on the jagged cliffs of the Wandering Isle, Eulalie Winterrose and her seven sisters live in mourning, and now, she is next to die.
   Loneliness fills the grand halls as four sisters' lives have ended tragically—the plague, a fall, a runaway, and a suicide. Whispers in nearby villages say the Fates cursed the family.

   Haunted by ghostly nightmares, Eulalie grows suspicious that her sister's death was no accident. She ventures outside of the Wandering Isle to Kerch, seeking answers. In the Barrel, she stumbles into the Crow Club and meets Kaz "Dirtyhands" Brekker.

   Eulalie strikes a deal with Kaz and his Crows to uncover the truth before her time runs out. But Kaz has his own plan—to steal the Winterrose fortune. The best way for a heist to succeed is knowing the ins and outs of the place, which proves to be a slipperier slope than Kaz once thought, finding himself in the dark underbelly of Hiraeth and its dealings. He thought he was prepared for everything, but he never could have seen Eulalie coming.
