Work Text:
Alright, so maybe Izuku is not as angelic as he sometimes portrays himself.
His mother adores him, and All Might has only ever seen a perfectly crafted mask of innocence. See, today is the last day of middle school. He gets One For All in three days, on the day of the UA entrance exam.
Izuku will never see any of these people (except Kacchan) ever again. And they know it two. The last day of school is always chill and relaxed. Some people take the time to finish up last-minute assignments, the graduating students say goodbye to their favorite teachers, and students clean out their lockers.
Izuku’s classmates take the time to put rat poison in his water bottle, which he had stupidly left out on his desk when he went to the bathroom. Or it would be stupid if it hadn’t been on purpose.
He had overheard some bullies talking about it. Kachan has the flu, and the others had said if he couldn’t be there to give Izuku the ‘proper send-off’, they would do it themselves.
Izuku had rolled his eyes and simply added it to his plan.

Ms Aina has been the secretary at Aldera Middle School for five years. She has seen students come and go. She looks forward, every year, to the end of the year. To not having to deal with stupid, hormonal teenagers, and teachers so dead inside you can practically feel their skin decaying.
The phone rings. “Hello, Aldera Middle School, main office, how can I help you?”
“We’ve got a fight in the front courtyard, send out the principal and the VP!”
She gives them the affirmative and hangs up. The principal and the vice principal run out the door. Just two minutes later the office door opens and a young boy comes in.
She recognizes Midoriya, he comes in once a week. She has observed over his time at Aldera, that he gets in trouble unfairly, frequently.
“Back again, Midoriya?”
He nods.
“The principal is out right now, but you can wait in his office. Mint?” He nods and she hands him a little dinner mint.
He enters the office. She finds it strange that he closes the door behind him, but doesn’t question it.
He’s been working on it for months, since before he met All Might. And an entire notebook is dedicated to it in fact. It was surprisingly easy to put together. All he needed to do was grab a spare key from one of the janitors, copy it, then call in the fight, and do something (really anything) to get sent to the office.
He locks the door behind him and smirks when he spots the PA system. Sitting down, he grins and cracks his knuckles.
Pressing down on the button, he begins. “Hello students and staff of Aldera Middle School, we apologize for the interruption, but we have a very important announcement. Fuck you.”
Through the window on the door, he sees the secretary’s head shoot up to look at him.
“My name is Izuku Midoriya. And I have a special message for you fucks. Congratulations on being, truly, the worst school.” He can hear the people outside freaking out. “You are a school full of bigots and idiots. And news flash, morons, rat poison only works because rats don't have a gag reflex, so not only would you have failed to poison me, but you would have actually made me skinnier. Goodbye, Aldera.”
The last part of his plan was breaking into the school the night before and hooking the sprinkler system up to large barrels of paint he had been sneaking in over the last few weeks.
When his teacher had sent him down to the office, he had taken his backpack with him. Pulling out the length of rope he had bought at a hardware store a few days ago, he opens the window and attaches it to the door. He throws the other end of the rope out the window and slings his bag on his back. He cackles and activates the sprinklers.
As the paint works its way through the school, Izuku grabs the rope and descends the side of the school.
He smiles as he watches people run out of the school, covered in multicolored paint. He may be trying to be a hero, but even a hero sometimes needs a bit of revenge.
