In his defense, Kaminari wasn't as dumb as his friends thought he was. But he had a lot of signs that stayed buried in his head until the moment everything "clicked".
Like the time he went to find Kirishima, to spend time with his best friend (he was Kirishima's best friend, even though Mina said he wasn't) and caught him coming out of Bakugo's room, it was strange if he thought about it but those two had training sessions and inside jokes that he didn't really understand, so he decided to ignore it and shout for Kirishima down the corridor, in retrospect he should have connected the dots.
Anyway, he found out when he was sitting with Sero, Uraraka, Tokoyami and Hitoshi on the sofas in the common area. He heard Bakugo shouting from the laundry room.
"WHO AMONG YOU EXTRAS TOOK MY SHIRT?" No one was frightened by the blond's shouts anymore, it had almost become part of the routine.
"Nobody took it, but if it's gone, maybe it's the dark arts." Tokayami pointed out, receiving an encouraging laugh from Uraraka. Bakugo, not happy with his answer, sat down with his best scowl next to Kaminari.
"Relax, Bakubro...", he tried to start supporting the irritated blond, but before he could finish Kirishima entered the room, wearing nothing less than the wanted shirt.
"Uraraka, do you want to go training tomorrow? I need a gym partner, Bakugo won't be able to make it," Kirishima said, grinning from ear to ear, but Kaminari didn't listen to the brown-haired girl's answer because in his head it all started to make sense, every time the blond and the red disappeared or were always joined by the hip, it all had an explanation.
"Oh! Oh!" he said, his brain frying at a thousand volts with a look of total surprise on his face, but all he felt in the next second was Bakugo grabbing his shirt and pulling.
"I need to have a word with you for a second, Dunce face. Shit hair, you come too." He pulled him and Kirishima into the dormitories, perhaps he was going to die a painful death and be blown up into a thousand pieces, but that didn't diminish his happiness at having discovered his two friends' secret romance (In your face Mina, he found out first).
So he decided to just speak at once, not caring much about how his voice sounded a little too loud and thin.
"YOU TWO..." Bakugo put his hand over his mouth, Kaminari knew he was in danger of being exploded right there.
"Yes, yes." Says Kirishima calmly with one hand behind his neck and the other on his friend's shoulder (boyfriend, maybe????).
"But but but, how? when? where?"Kaminari couldn't stop asking questions, his brain was frying as if he'd given it too high a charge.
"After Kamino..." The redhead tried to start but was interrupted by the other blond. "AFTER KAMINO????"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, PIKACHU. Yes, me and Ei are dating, but it's a secret." Kaminari saw the way Bakugo looked at Kirishima and his eyes softened, he never thought he'd see that expression on the face of "Mr. I'm going to be #1 and nothing's going to stop me".
Then, finding the ability to speak, he asks. "But why?"
"Because..." says Kirishima, with a half-smile, looking at Bakugo. "...it's not something super important, it happened over time and eventually they'll find out."
"But it's a huge thing!" Kaminari smiles, genuinely happy for his friend. "That's great, let's tell everyone in the bakusquad..."
Bakugo pulls the blond by the shirt and lets out "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!"
"But..." He tries to argue, then Kirishima gives him those puppy dog eyes.
"Dude, please don't, you have to keep this a secret. It'll be super manly of you to keep it a secret for us." And how could Kaminari say no to that red-haired idiot.
"Thanks, BUT IF ANYONE FINDS OUT I'LL KILL YOU." Bakugo said after Kaminari agreed, he thinks it was the first time he'd heard that word coming from the lighter-haired man.
He understands the million reasons why they don't want to make a big deal out of it (even though it is) and he also understands that those two adore each other, they orbit around each other, Kaminari understands this perhaps from the way Bakugo looks at Kirishima in that moment, in the safety of his room, and sees the look of affection mirrored in the redhead's face and smile.
"Are you going to kiss now? Because if you are, I don't want to see it." He couldn't miss the opportunity to make a comment.
He ended up being thrown out of the room by Bakugo, with the door slamming shut behind him.

Mina wasn't a gossip, maybe she liked to know things and pass them on to other people, it was more like a social service for class 1-A. But she promised Sero that she would try not to gossip so much, imagine her pain when she discovered what would be the biggest blackmail material against Blasty and couldn't tell anyone.
Kirishima had her Switch, just because you've known someone since elementary school doesn't mean they can have your Nintendo. She knew it was late, after midnight, but she was sooooo bored and Kirishima never slept early, so she went to the door of his dormitory but before she could knock she heard two familiar voices talking.
"We could go to that restaurant in Soba next week, then maybe go training."
Bakugo? She thought intently, wasn't that guy practically an old man who slept in before 9pm? And what was he doing in Kiri's room at that hour? She moved closer to the door to hear more (she wasn't a gossip).
"Oh? Just training? I can try to be Unbreakeble for you." Mina could sense the laughter and malice in Kirishima's reply. Then she heard a laugh coming from Blasty and the sound of what could only be kissing.
"Oh, I can feel that something's already hard, Eijirou." All she can do now is put her hands against her mouth in complete shock, staggering (read running) back to her dormitory only thinking at that moment of putting as much distance between her and her friends as possible.
"Oh my God! Oh my God!" She repeated until she reached her room, her switch completely forgotten because she had the gossip of the century.

"Hey hey, Kaminari!" Mina had finally found Kaminari alone in the shared room, she needed to tell someone about 'it' and who better than her gossip partner?
"Mina?" Her friend said, focusing his eyes on the pink-haired girl.
"Chargeboy, I need to tell you something, but you have to swear not to tell anyone else, okay?" Mina says calmly, almost syllable by syllable.
But to her surprise, Denki pulls back and covers his ears with his hands. "I don't want to know! I don't!"
"Yes, you do, it's a bombshell!" She needed to tell someone - anyone - about her discovery.
Kaminari continues with her hands on her ears. "No! I don't need to know any more secrets! I have secrets of my own, you know."
"Secrets?" Mina asks incisively. "Do you know secrets? Tell me whose secrets and who's!"
Kaminari's lips remain sealed and his face turns strangely red, but he remains determined not to tell her anything and shakes his head.
"Oh, never mind then, Kami." She decides to play her final card, maybe he knows the same thing as her, but confirmation is needed. "Then just listen to me, okay? I found out something about Bakugo and Kiri..."
Kaminari runs off to his dorm, hands to his ears, shouting. "La La La La La-!"
He knew it and Mina knew he knew it, it was only time before he let it out.
....
"Hi guys, we're going to train! We promise we'll be back in time for today's movie session." Kirishima smiles at Kaminari and Mina as he passes through the room, dragging Bakugo by the arm.
"Oh yeah, of course, man! Have fun... at practice, obviously!" Kaminari says in a very nervous voice for someone who didn't know anything, Mina realizes.
The slamming door became the signal she needed to trap Kaminari.
"Hi, Kami..." She says in her most astute voice. "Do you remember the secret we talked about the other day?"
"No no no!" Kaminari says almost in a panic.
"Relax, I'm not going to tell you anything!" She says, before he runs off like last time. "But if you somehow found out on your own, it would be okay, right? That's how we can talk about it."
He can feel the cogs in the blond's head working, until he agrees. "Well, it wouldn't be a secret anymore, so yes. That would be great."
She sits down next to Denki on the sofa, with a relaxed pose and a half-smile. "Ah, let's say, dear Kaminari Denki, that I wanted to go and train with Blasty and Kiri, but... they must already be in the gym. Would you mind going there with me?"
Kaminari's eyes widened. "Uh? Now? Do you want to go find them now?"
"Yes," Mina says, "I really wanted to practice a new technique and I think you two could help me."
He looks at her suspiciously and she gives him a questioning look.
"Do you know anything?" He asks cautiously, as if he's afraid of letting something slip.
"Why? Do you know something?" She replies almost immediately.
He stiffens on the sofa. "Maybe I know something." He FINALLY admits it.
"I might know something too."
"What do you know?"
"Oh no, you tell me what you know first."
"I can't just tell you." Kaminari says, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Then I can't tell you what I know." Mina says defensively.
Kaminari turns her head slowly. "Okay, fine!" He says, pretending not to care.
"Fine!" She agrees, as if it were irrelevant, as if Bakugo and Kirishima's secret wasn't about to be exposed. She holds on for about 30 seconds, until she lets go. "Okay, then I'll go after the boys to train with them and see if what I think I know is really what I think I know!"
As she stands up, Kaminari stands up with her and points his finger at her. "YOU KNOW!!!"
"And you know!" she says almost jumping up.
"Kirishima and Bakugo...?" He asks as a way of confirming reality.
"Yes! Oh my God, it's unbelievable!" She bursts out "How long have you known?"
"Too long!" The blonde complains. "I hate keeping secrets! They're idiots! Those two are idiots too, they deserve each other."
"They match, don't they?" The pink one says with a laugh in her voice, sharing a look of confidence in that secret with her friend.
"Hi guys!" Sero announced, entering the room. Mina and Kaminari practically jump out of their skins.
"Are you all right?" The brunette asked with a questioning look.
"Of course, tapeguy, we were just deciding what to buy for movie night. Even going to the market right now." She speaks in a rush, pulling Kaminari through the door and closing it.
Even on the way out of the lodge she could still feel Sero's confused stare on her back.
....
Sero was happy, of course he was, he had managed to get a training slot at the gym (after weeks trying), because the top classes occupied every available space.
He and Mina were in a conversation about next week's math test and if they should try a study session with Yaoyorozu to be prepared. They were at the entrance when he spotted Bakugo and Kirishima still in the middle of the ring, and for some reason Mina had stalled next to him, without paying much attention to the girl, he tried to greet his two friends.
"Hey, Kiri and Bakugo - EII!" He speaks a little louder, trying to get the pair's attention.
Then he notices that, at first glance, it looked like the two boys were just having a fight, but when he pays attention, Sero notices that Bakugo sits on Kirishima for a long time and bends down to kiss the redhead.
He lets out a frightened scream and Mina starts pulling him out of the gym.
"Aah-aAHah-!!! Kirishima and Bakugo!" He points in alarm. "Bakugo and Kirishima!"
"Oh my god." Mina looks at him with wide eyes as he continues shouting. "KIRISHIMA AND BAKUGO! OH MY EYES! MY EYES!"
He thinks he's gotten a trauma for the rest of his existence on Earth, Mina tries to calm him down as she pulls him into a hug and speaks.
"Sero, it's going to be okay. It's okay..."
"No! No! They're doing it!"
"I know!"
"You know???"
"Yes, I know and Kaminari knows, but they don't know that we know, so you need to calm down." She admits it to him and he can only stare at her in shock.
"Kaminari knows?" He asks. "Kaminari found out?"
Mina must be finding the expression on his face very funny, because she lets out a laugh and replies. "Yes, he found out first and made the two idiots admit it. Let's go! We have to talk to him."
Kaminari found out first and didn't tell him? The bro code really doesn't mean anything to that idiot. He walks off with Mina.
....
They found Kaminari talking to someone on the cell phone and a mug of what they thought was hot chocolate.
"Kami baby, Sero knows about Kirishima and Bakugo." She announced, smiling and sitting down on the seat between Kaminari and Sero.
"How come they're friends and nothing more?" Replies the blonde in a nervous voice.
"He knows, he KNOWS, that they're together." Mina says this as if it wasn't the biggest thing in the whole UA.
"Just to clarify..." Sero begins. "...they know that Kaminari knows, but not that Mina knows?"
Kaminari agrees. "Yes." Then his face suddenly lights up and he flashes a smile. "Oh, that's wonderful, it means we all know and we can tell them we know! All secrets will end this way!"
"Or..." Mina says enthusiastically. " ... we could have some fun with them."
"Ahhh yesmmm, as revenge for them not telling us before." Sero agrees with a wicked smile.
Kaminari takes a deep breath. "But why? Sero, come on, bro. We could just tell them."
Sero taps his chin, pretending to think about what his friend said, and then shakes his head. "Yeah, but I think Mina's idea is much cooler, I want to do her thing!"
Kaminari collapsed on the sofa with a face almost melting in sadness.
"You don't have to do anything, just don't tell them." Mina says, trying to cheer him up, but it doesn't work, his sad face has turned into a frown.
"So, how are we going to mess with them?" Sero asks.
"Well, you're going to ask me to go and train with them every time and block them at every opportunity." She laughs. "And me? I'll pretend I'm madly in love with Kiri, it'll be perfect."
Seriously, it would be hilarious. "They'll break in a second!"
.....
Kirishima was accompanying Bakugo, his boyfriend (he loved to say that), while the blond made dinner for the two of them. After tasting Bakugo's soup base, Mina entered the kitchen.
"Blastyyyy, what did you... Oh, Kiri, I didn't know you were here." She says with a tilt of her head in the direction of the counter he was sitting at.
She comes closer to him and looks at him with a look of desire???? and speaks. "You look amazing in that tank top, wow so strong."
Kirishima thinks he's hallucinating because he and the pink-haired girl were just basic friends. He gives her an extremely confused look, but she smiles.
"Mina!" He hears Sero call out to her from the front door. "Ready to go?"
She sighs and approaches the redhead, speaking to him in an octave tone of voice. "I miss you already." She walks slowly to the door, leaving a stunned Kirishima sitting at the counter.
"What the fuck just happened?" He could hear the annoyance in Katsuki's voice.
"I know as much as you do, we were best friends until about six hours ago and now she's hitting on me???" Kirishima was still very, very confused.
Then Bakugo's face takes on what he calls an 'I've figured something out' look. "Eijirou, she knows about us." He says in a serious tone.
He faces the redhead and repeats louder. "She knows about us! She knows!"
"Ah 'Tsuki, she might be attracted to my incredible biceps..." The sentence didn't make any sense, it was Mina they were talking about. "SHE KNOWS ABOUT US!"
"There you go." Katsuki said with a smile on his face, as much as he tried to deny it he was in love with that idiot, his idiot. "Come on, we have to confront Kaminari about a few things."
The red-haired and the blond walk off, tangled up in each other, to Kaminari's room.
....
"Kaminari, why does Mina know about us?" Kirishima asks.
He and Bakugo found Denki in his room, Bakugo standing in front of Kaminari, who was sitting on the bed, and Kirishima in the desk chair. Katsuki was trying to give him his most intimidating look.
Kaminari cringes, avoiding looking directly at either of the two boys in his room. He speaks considerably quietly. "It's not my fault, I didn't tell them..."
"THEM?" Bakugo asks hatefully.
"Um yes! Mina e.... Kaminari!" He points at himself.
"Dumb face!" Katsuki was tired of Kaminari's bullshit, that electric idiot thinking he can lie to him.
"And Sero." He admits defeated.
"I can't believe this, were we really that sloppy?" Kirishima asks getting up from his chair and walking around the room.
Kaminari tries to offer a solution. "At least you can tell them that you know and all this will be over!"
"HAHA, not at all!" Bakugo replies vindictively. "They think they can mess with US? Ha! They don't know we know they know, we'll get even!"
Kirishima exchanges a look of concern with Kaminari.
"How exactly, dear?"
"Don't call me that!" Katsuki feels the blush rising to his cheeks, but continues. "You're going to play the game, Ei. You're going to seduce her back!"
Kirishima steps back, his eyebrows furrowed "Um, I don't think so."
Bakugo walks up to Eijirou and holds his face between his hands. "Shit hair, look at me. You can do this, you're the hardest, manliest guy I know." It was a low move against his boyfriend, the blond knew it, but he needed to convince the redhead. "If they win, they'll never make us forget it. Is that what you want? For them to tell this story to the rest of the class and the world?"
Kirishima put a determined look on his face. "No!"
"No," Katsuki agrees. "We're going to win, do you hear me? They can't mess with us."
Eijirou shakes his head and Bakugo rewards him with a quick kiss on the lips, then walks away from a Kirishima as red as his hair.
"And you idiot..." Bakugo adds to Kaminari. "IF YOU TELL THEM, CONSIDER YOURSELF DEAD!"
The couple leave the room and Kaminari bangs his head repeatedly against the wall, he hates his life and he hates his friends.
....
"Hi, Mina? Glad you picked up!" Bakugo watches her boyfriend talking on the phone to Raccoon Eyes, did they try to mess with them? HA! They'd regret it.
"Hi Kirishima, what's up?" He hears her answer over the speakerphone, seeming to forget the role she was supposed to play.
"So, um, I've been thinking about you all day." The redhead speaks in an uncertain voice, Bakugo wants to laugh, but he holds back for the greater good.
"Eh...?" Mina replies with total confusion.
"I think we should get, um, together. Tonight." Kirishima doesn't know how to be straight, Katsuki realizes.
She takes a while to respond to the invitation, Eijirou gives him a panicked look, but Bakugo just stares deep into his eyes, as if warning him to relax (they had telepathic conversations, mind your own business).
"I'd love to!" The girl replies excitedly.
Kirishima wipes his hand across his face and lets go. "Great, um, in the living room after 11pm? When the others go to sleep?"
Katsuki could feel his own heart beating inside his chest, it couldn't go wrong, right?
"I can't wait, baby." Then she hangs up and Kirishima looks at him smiling, the silly smile he loved, and gives him a high five.
He smiles back at his boyfriend. "We're totally going to break them in half!" Bakugo smiles with his competitiveness throbbing in his blood.
....
Mina looks around her room after finishing the call with Kirishima, glancing at Sero's shocked expression and a strangely quiet Kaminari.
"Okay, we've got a big problem!" She speaks up.
"Oh my god!" Sero replies in panic, looking directly into her eyes; she thinks he might explode at any minute. "I can't believe he'd do that to Baku..."
The brunette stops in the middle of his speech. "Wait." He looks at Kaminari, who is staring into nothingness and whistling. "Man, do they know we know?"
The blond swallows dryly. "No..."
"Kaminari!" Mina says accusingly.
"They know that you know." Kaminari admits.
"Oh, I knew it!" Sero shouts, angry and ready to continue their revenge.
Mina's dark eyes narrow, she gives a clear smile, almost reading Sero's mind. "They think they can mess with us? They have something coming, they don't know we know they know we know!"
"Exactly!" The brunette celebrates. He and Mina share a look. "If it's a date they both want, that's what we'll give them."
"Kamibaby, you can't say anything." Mina adds.
"I couldn't even if I wanted to!" Kaminari grumbles, sinking deeper and deeper into the pink-haired girl's bed.
....
"How far should I go with her?" Kirishima asks worriedly to Katsuki reading in bed.
It was past 10:30 p.m. and he was starting to freak out, he didn't want to do this but he didn't want to spend the rest of his life listening to some stupid story about Mina and Sero.
"Oh, don't even worry about it, Shit Hair. She'll give up long before you do." Bakugo was stubborn and determined, it was one of the aspects that made Kirishima fall in love with him, but at this moment the redhead was doubting the other's determination.
"How do you know? She didn't give up before, she seemed very enthusiastic...." Kirishima is lost in his own murmurs and thoughts.
Bakugo got out of bed and ran his hands over Eijirou's shoulders; he looked incredible in that outfit. "Just relax, everything will be fine. Come on, we've got to get downstairs."
Kirishima feels like she might cry at any moment, but she follows her boyfriend.
When they get downstairs, Kirishima goes into the kitchen and sits on the benches, trying to control his anxiety. While Bakugo goes to sit with his book in the living room, close enough to hear what was being said but not too close for Mina to be suspicious of his presence.
....
Mina was in a bit of a panic, Kirishima was her best gay friend, they'd known each other since elementary school, she didn't want to kiss him and have a date but if that's what she had to do to get the two idiots to admit what they were doing, she would.
She spotted Kirishima already in the kitchen and told an excited Sero and a grumpy Kaminari to wait by the elevator as this would all be over in a few minutes.
"Wow!" She compliments and sees Kirishima turning in her direction. "You look good enough in that black shirt, Kiri."
He frowns, not entirely trusting what he's heard. "Ah, thank you...?"
She smiles nervously at the boy in front of her and speaks. "Ah, you look so good it makes me want to kiss you." She's trying hard to keep up the character.
Kirishima's lip twitches, he just wants to run really fast, trying to look as manly as possible, and he steps forward. "We can do that. Uh. You look good, uh, for a girl."
Mina struggles to give a flattered smile, she didn't quite understand what the redhead meant. She tries to thank him anyway. "So sweet, thank you!"
They both sit in an uncomfortable silence, Kirishima looking nervously at Ashido's tense smile. They stand there in the middle of the kitchen, trying their best not to make eye contact.
"Are you nervous?" she asks.
"Me? No, you?"
"Of course not. I want this very much, Lover!" She tries to make her voice as seductive as possible, touching his shoulders.
"Well, then we should get on with it." He tries to suggest.
Mina's expression falters. "S-seriously?"
"Unless you don't want to..." He tries.
"No, no, I do!" She says. "I just think we need to set the mood, you know? Have a soft drink and talk. I've got a great grape soda in my room!"
"That sounds amazing!" Kirishima says to the girl.
"Yes! I'll get it, don't go anywhere!" As she leaves the room, she gives the redhead a smile of anticipation.
"Oh, yeah, I'll be right here waiting." He promises.
....
Kirishima panics in the room, it wasn't a good plan, it was very, very stupid.
"She's not backing down, Katsuki. She called me lover!" He says nervously to his boyfriend on the sofa.
Bakugo frowns, as if he can't decide whether it's extremely stupid or disgusting (maybe both), he gives Kirishima's lips a quick kiss and speaks. "Stop freaking out, she's bluffing."
"Baby..." Kirishima tries.
"It's okay, you can do it!" Bakugo says unwaveringly. "You're on my team, my team never loses!"
The blond pushes him back into the kitchen. "Just go, she'll give in!"
Kirishima walks slowly back to the kitchen, not really wanting to go back and face Mina.
....
He sees Mina coming with the sodas, she definitely realizes he's gone somewhere. But she seems to choose to ignore it and pours two glasses with ice and the purple drink, so the two of them stand on either side of the counter, sipping their sodas and carrying on a conversation to the limit.
"So, um..." She leans towards him. "Do you want to kiss me?"
Kirishima's answer is short and tense. "Yes."
"Shall we then, Kiri?"
"Of course."
"Okay." She moves closer to him, standing almost on tiptoe to reach him. "I'll, um, go this way." She says, tilting her head.
"And me this way." He points and leans in the opposite direction.
Their faces are extremely close but he prays and begs whatever god is watching him, he pulls back before their lips meet.
"This will be our first kiss!" He tries to stop the near inevitable.
"Yes, don't stop now." She agrees.
"It's really going to happen." He doesn't know whether to say it to her or to himself.
At a pace colder than Todoroki's ice, the remaining space between their lips shrinks and their lips - rigid and inconsistent - brush gently against each other. It lasts about two seconds before Kirishima gives up.
"Okay, fine!" Kirishima pulls back, pushing Mina away with his arms. "You win! I can't do that!"
"Ah!" She jumps up, arms raised in victory. "And why can't you?"
He sees Kaminari and Sero emerge from the elevator area and Katsuki come running out of the room, to hear what the redhead's answer will be.
"Because I'm in love with Bakugo!" Kirishima admits almost shouting for everyone to hear.
Everyone is shocked and motionless, waiting to hear Bakugo's response - would he shout? Or nervously leave the room?
Kirishima just wanted to take back what he had just said, was she in love with the blonde? Obvious, but maybe Katsuki didn't want to find out that way and ....
"Eijirou?" Bakugo's soft voice pulled him out of the loop of thoughts he was having.
Kirishima can only stare into Bakugo's red eyes, almost hypnotized by those incredibly beautiful irises. He doesn't notice when a half-smile appears on Katsuki's lips, nor how long it took for the blond to approach, he just feels his boyfriend's sweaty hands on his face and hears a question.
"Is it true?" Bakugo asks, as if his friends weren't watching them. "Do you really love me?"
The blond's voice indicates a delicacy that he has heard before, but only a few times. As if he couldn't believe it or as if he was afraid and needed direct confirmation from the redhead. Kirishima will take this opportunity and explain with all his being that he loves Bakugo deeply.
"Yes!" Kirishima says with a bright smile. "I love you, Katsuki!"
Bakugo's previously simple smile turns into one with all his teeth and red cheeks. "I love you too, Hey."
They kiss, the kind of kiss that only exists after an 'I love you' and that only they will know what it feels like. They separate when they overhear a conversation between their friends, and turn in embarrassment to the trio present there.
"Oh guys, I knew you were doing that, but not that you were in love, that's amazing!" Sero said, smiling genuinely.
"Yeah, it's amazing!" Mina says, putting her hands to her heart. "I almost feel bad that I won."
Bakugo looks directly at her. "Do you really, Raccoon Eyes?"
"Nop, blasty!"
"No more secrets now?" Kaminari asks.
Kirishima looks at Bakugo who gives a slight nod. "Yeah, bro it's over!" He says, smiling at a very relieved Kaminari, who only has his secrets now.
