Work Text:
Me and Rosanna are standing in the hallway, discussing our project when she suddenly stops talking and looking behind me. “What's wrong?" I ask, raising a brow. “Behind you." She says, looking back at me. I turn and flinch back when I find Stephanie, the same girl I definitely don't have feelings for, standing behind me. “Hey Mat!" She greets, giving me a smile.
I awkwardly raise my hand and wave. Rosanna nudges me and gives me a teasing, shit eating grin. “Oh right, Mat, I have to go do something! See you later!” Just wait, you shortie. I'll get my revenge on you later.
She gives me a wink before running off and I just have the urge to flip her off. “Mat?" Shit. I turn back to Stephanie and smile. “What do you need, Steph?" I ask.
"Oh, I just wanted to ask if you want to be my partner for that party Bryan is throwing at his house.” She rubs her nape. “It says that we need to bring a partner that's the opposite gender”
Now what kind of party would you need to bring a partner? More specifically, the opposite gender of your gender??
But again, it's Bryan. What did I expect? His stupid and an ugly bastard.
“I was just about to ask you if you wanted to be my partner." I chuckle. "But sure, I'd love to.!” Her smile widens and before I can even react, she hugs me. “Great! See you at 8 then!" She says as she pulls away.
She hugged me.
She could have thanked me by just saying it.
But no.
She hugged me.
Me.
I didn't even realize that Rosanna came back and is now standing beside me. “You look like a tomato, Mat.” she says, her teasing grin hadn't left her face.
“Shut up and wipe that grin off of your face, Ro.” I say, flipping her off as I started walking away. “Whatever you say, Mat~" I regret telling her about this.
