Work Text:

"This is a terrible idea.”

“Shut up, no it’s not.”

“It is, why won’t you...”

“Prongs, I don’t want to hear it.”

Sirius glared at his best friend who threw his hands up. “Your grave,” muttered James, as he walked away.

Sirius sniffed. James was in love with a girl who repeatedly rejected him. He had no idea what he was talking about. Who was he to tell Sirius what to buy his boyfriend for Valentine’s Day?

The gift was perfect.

Sirius knew that his Moony would love it.

“Uhhh...”

Sirius watched, crestfallen, as Remus’s brown eyes looked confusedly at him.

“You don’t like it?” he asked.

Remus opened his mouth and paused.

“No, look!” said Sirius, grabbing the bottle out of Remus’s hands. “It’s cologne but it smells like chocolate! And you love chocolate,” he said, his eyes shining as he looked at Remus.

“I do,” said Remus, slowly. “But,” he said, a wry look on his face. “Pads, I... I do, but...”

Sirius’s heart sank. “You hate it,” he said.

Remus laughed and reached out when Sirius turned away, pulling Sirius close. “No, I’m not laughing at you,” he said. “Hey, look at me, no, hey,” he said, tilting Sirius’s chin up and looking directly into his eyes. “I love it,” he said.

“Do you?” Sirius asked.

“Mmmm,” Remus murmured, leaning closer. “And I love you,” he said, against Sirius’s lips.

Sirius closed his eyes and soon lost his ability to think.
