See you again

Summary:

“So, you are married.”

Satoru froze to his standing position when he heard what came from his boyfriend's mouth, Yuuji.

“Yuuji...” There was nothing Satoru could say but it was enough for Yuuji to understand and confirm everything.

“You used me just to get back to her, didn't you? I should have realized it from the very beginning. I knew everything seemed to be unreal but I also wanted to believe that you loved me. I'm such an idiot for loving you, Satoru.” Tears went down from Yuuji's eyes that he'd been trying to stop while speaking but everything hurt him.

“Yuuji, I'm sorry... Let me-”

“No, let's end everything right here, right now. I don't want to continue this anymore. Thank you for everything, Satoru.” With a forced painful smile, Yuuji turned his back on Satoru and left him there, not bothering to listen to his screams and pleas.

Where Gojo Satoru and Itadori were in a "good and stable" relationship until everything unfolds.

Chapter 1: Good day

Chapter Text

Yuuji was having a good day in his part-time work as a barista in the Sunshine Coffee shop. Luckily, he didn't encounter any mad customers and the shop is very peaceful today.

There aren't a lot of customers but that's fine for Yuuji because it would be a hassle for him once the shop becomes busy. Also, there's a specific reason why he loves his job.

“Good Afternoon, Sir, what's your order?” Yuuji asked the familiar regular customer who arrived inside the shop.

He's trying so hard not to faint right now. But he couldn't hide the fact that his cheeks were redder and warmer every time this customer came.

“One Caramel Machiatto and one slice of strawberry chocolate cake.”

He's so handsome

Yuuji thought while staring at the handsome man in front of him. This man was 6ft tall making Yuuji look small, his white hair and those round black sunglasses makes him more gorgeous in every good way possible. His light blue long-sleeved button-up shirt paired with a black pair of trousers was so simple but he literally made it look expensive and attractive.

He wonders if this handsome man is in a relationship. He wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't, after all, that kind of face wouldn't be hard to make everyone fall in love. But, it's not bad if he fantasized about this man for a little bit, right?

“Hey, did you hear me? Are you there?” Satoru flicked his fingers in front of Yuuji's face.

With that, Yuuji came back to his senses and immediately shook his head.

“Y-yes, I-I'll bring your order, Sir. You can wait for a moment.” Yuuji shyly said, looking down at the counter to hide his embarrassed face.

“Okay, thank you,” Satoru might have noticed his weird actions because his time sounded confused.

Luckily, Gojo Satoru walked away and sat down on his specific spot. Yuuji let out a relieved sigh and internally slapped himself to go back to his work.

“Oh, are you okay, Yuuji-kun? Why are you so red?” His co-worker, Akari asked him.

“H-huh? Yeah, it's just the shop is hot.” Yuuji bit his bottom lip.

“What are you talking about? It's literally cold here. Have you gone insane?” Akari is now confused.

“D-don't mind me, Akari-san, I-I'll go serve this order.” Yuuji grabbed the black tray once the order was done.

“I see, he's here, no wonder why you're blushing. Maa, just don't fall in love too much with him if you don't want to regret anything.” Akari warned him.

That made Yuuji unsettled, it's not like Gojo Satoru is a bad guy, right? What does she mean by that?

He just shrugged it off and went to Satoru to give his order.

“Here's your order, Sir.” Yuuji placed the tray on top of the table while setting down his orders.

“Thank you.” Satoru gave him a soft smile which made Yuuji's heart melt.

He didn't expect Satoru to smile at him, but he appreciated it so much that it penetrated his heart.

“You're welcome,” Yuuji responded and left while screaming internally.

Just moments passed, and the shop became crowded. Well, for obvious reasons, Gojo Satoru is inside the coffee shop. He's so popular with the people mostly the young generation because of his face, with that said, it helped the shop to gain customers and popularity.

Most of them just wanted to be near the one and only Gojo Satoru and stared at his handsome face.

Yuuji wasn't sure if Gojo knew about it because the man was silent on his spot, minding his own business with his laptop

He sometimes wonders why Gojo often stays at the shop, there are better places than this one. Most of the time, Gojo was alone and would leave the moment he got there. It's kinda weird but Yuuji doesn't care that much, he's a lucky fan himself.

“Yuuji, stop daydreaming and serve the customers!” Akari yelled inside the kitchen.

“Alright!” Yuuji went to the counter to take the customer's orders.

The people inside the shop became lesser than earlier until only Gojo Satoru left. He took longer than usual, Yuuji noticed. He only used to stay for an hour after he finished his orders, but today seemed different. Because he's been there for 4 hours now, lost in his thoughts.

It was odd behavior of Gojo because he always had a bright and fresh aura around him but this time, his aura looked grey. Yuuji wanted to talk to him but he didn't want to bother him too.

It was his first time to see Gojo Satoru being like this, it made him worry, to say the least.

“He's still here.” He heard Akari's voice beside him on the counter.

“It looks like he got serious problems.” Yuuji sighed while looking at Gojo.

“Well, that's part of human lives.” Akari simply shrugged it off.

“But, something was wrong with him.” Yuuji mumbled under his breath.

“Yuuji, I understand that you admire him. But, please don't get involved with him if you don't want to get hurt.” Akari once again warned him.

“What do you mean by that? Why do you sound like you knew him?” This time, he looked at Akari with curiousness.

“I'm just telling you what's good for you. Don't mind him, he will leave later. Let's just finish our job so we can close this shop early.”

Akari didn't answer his questions and went inside the kitchen to wash the dishes, leaving confused Yuuji.

Just like Akari said, Gojo Satoru left the coffee shop once Akari told him that they were going to close the shop. Yuuji just watched him leave the coffee shop.
