AN: I have not been anywhere near this café i picked a random one near John’s home
JOHN: hey roxy? i think we should go to a coffee shop. do you think that’d be fun, (and potentially help with your alcohol problem)
ROXY: thatd be ttos fun
ROXY: tots*
JOHN: ok!
John then hopped into his Nissan Maxima, and went to a local Cat Café he had booked a 50 minute session with the kitties 2 weeks ahead of time. It was Roxy’s birthday. December 4th, Monday 2023. John wanted her birthday to be special.
ROXY: so tbc (as in clear not contneud) how long is the drive
ROXY: continued*
JOHN: around 50 minutes. we are going to my favorite café
John holds in a chuckle of excitement, and anticipation to see Roxy’s reaction to the cat café. It didn’t take long for Roxy to fall asleep. John focused completely on the road, it was only 12pm so it wasn’t hard to do so.
John woke Roxy up with a gentle shoulder pap. It wasn’t hard to wake her up because she was very excited. John opened up the door for Roxy, since this was her day.
HOSTESS: Hello1 How may I serve you today1
JOHN: hello ma’am! we have a book in for me, john egbert, and she’s roxy lalonde
The Hostess checks a list
HOSTESS: alright1 you are set we have you scheduled for a cat lounge session1
ROXY: cat?
JOHN: surprise!
Roxy’s whole face completely lights up. She was not prepared for a cat café but is pleasantly surprised. She looks like she could cry.
JOHN: well its not that big of a deal. i thought’d you’d like it…
ROXY: ok let’s og see thses silly kitties
ROXY: go* these*
The Hostess brings Roxy and John into the lounge. The duo is greeted by a very friendly, black-haired cat with stunning yellow eyes. They are told his name is Theo (

) , and that he is new-ish as he has been there only about 1.5 weeks to the shelter. Theo rubbed up against Roxy and then jumped onto her lap.
Theo then left to go hang out with someone else.
