Summary:

Cale and Alberu had a video call to report on their work as usual.

But Cale had just showered and was too lazy to change into daily clothes. He was only in a loose-fitting shirt and hadn't dried his hair yet.

Work Text:

Cale reported to the Crown Prince as usual at night.

Raon hid in the corner after using his communication magic.

Perhaps freshly showered, he was wearing a long white shirt, and a white mist of water hung heavy around him. His face was flushed and water trickled down from his wet red hair all the way to his wide collar, making the shirt stick to his skin.

Alberu watched the scene, his eyes twitching and his ears turning red. Deeply educated by the royal family, he could not accept being so disheveled in front of others in front.

He sighed and said, "...You, can't you show me some respect?"

Cale immediately revealed a bright smile, "Star of Roan Kingdom, you are so considerate, I'm sure you'll understand my eagerness to report to you. You ......"

"Enough, stop." Alberu shook his head, holding a hand to his face and sighed. He knew there was nothing he could do to this guy.

In fact, Cale was just too lazy to change his clothes. After all, he felt like he was going to bed, so why would he dress up for a night of "overtime"?

However, noticing the tips of the Crown Prince's ears reddening because of him, he was a bit smug.

Alberu was now in his office, wearing a fancy white dress with his blonde hair perfectly combed back. It should be that he must has just finished a tiresome party, and he looked tired now. The dark circles under his eyes were really uncomfortable, but despite that, he couldn't hide his handsomeness.

'What a pity, the Crown Prince needs to deal with a pack of fierce wolves every day, but for my ideal of being a slacker, so please work harder.' Satisfied with his thoughts, Cale smiled affectionately.

-Human, why are you smiling like that? Are you going to deceive the Crown Prince?

Ignoring Raon's words, Cale tilted his head, wiped his long hair with a towel, and looked straight at the Crown Prince.

Water flowed down from Cale's red hair and slid across his flushed cheeks, dripping onto his white shirt and sticking to his skin. Because he was relatively thin, the shirt appeared to be a bit loose, and the side of the collar slipped down from his shoulder due to the action of wiping his hair, His pale, reddish skin was exposed, and his expression looking not like his usual stoicism, but instead like that of a charming cat.

It was obvious that this guy who was deeply educated by the royal family found it difficult to accept this scene.

Alberu turned his head and felt some warmth on his face . He raised his hand to shield his face as he knew his face was turning red.

Cale chuckled as he watched the scene.

'There's surely nothing more fun than teasing this conservative guy.' He reported on today's work and the schedule afterward as if he didn't see it.

Because he returned to the purpose of the call, Alberu quickly entered the state.

………………

At the end of the report, Cale pouted in dissatisfaction, "Your Highness, when was the last time you slept? How long did you sleep?"

At the sudden topic, Alberu froze for a moment. He didn't know what Cale's purpose, but decided to answer honestly anyway.

"...... I slept for four hours at 1 o'clock in the morning."

Cale frowned, although he knew that Alberu wasn't human and couldn't be held to human standards, sooner or later he would wear himself out by tossing himself around like that, and if he fell who would support him in his lazy life? So he decided to work a little harder for a better future and urged the Crown Prince to get some rest.

A beautiful smile bloomed on Cale face. "Your Highness, would you like to hear me sing a lullaby?"

"...... What?" Alberu's eyes widened as if he had heard some nonsense.

Cale ignored the Crown Prince's shock and put on a sincere and serious expression.

"Oh, Your Highness. This humble subject is so worried about your health. It would be my supreme honor if my song could help the stars of the Roan Kingdom fall asleep."

Alberu frowned, "...... You're driving me crazy."

Cale laughed who couldn't sing at all in fact , he just wanted to give the Crown Prince a "threat" --if you don't get some rest and those annoying nobles disturb you during the day, I'll make you restless at night.

-Human! Do you sing? Great, I'll listen tonight!

Raon's excited voice traveled to Cale's mind. He had originally wanted to get the Crown Prince in trouble, but instead he got himself in trouble.

Alberu shook his head, "...... I'll rest well. Let's leave your lullaby to someone else."

As expect, the Crown Prince refused.

Cale pretended to be so sad and dragged one hand up to his face, causing the collar that Alberu had repeatedly emphasized to lift during the conversation had fallen off once again.

"That's really regrettable, I was looking forward to seeing your beautiful sleeping face, Your Highness. I believe that even if you fall asleep, you are the brightest jewel of the Roan Kingdom."

Alberu's face flushed again from the action and avoided Cale's gaze. Because Cale had made the Crown Prince take a loss, he was in a particularly good mood.

But he could never have imagined that his mischievous behavior would lead to him being "educated" by the Crown Prince in the future.
