    Summary

The dragon clans of Ealdorwyrm have always vied for dominance, and Castiel has ignored its politics in favor of reading his books and training in magic. Enter Dean, who questions his life priorities and the Novak worldview.

Amid inter-clan politics, an impending engagement, his betrothed’s personality, and the growing threat of the Shadows, Castiel navigates personal feelings and duties. As they fight these shadow-borne threats, there is animosity but also growing respect, and they must learn to overcome their differences if they hope to prevail against the encroaching darkness.
