this must be how icarus felt, when he was flying across the sea on his father’s wings. icarus had done something amazing, defying the limitations of the human condition in order to take flight like the birds he envied from the tower, where he and daedalus stayed captive. to finally be free of constraints and to feel the wind through his hair as he became one with the creatures of the sky. icarus had won.
