“You really shouldn’t tell me more about their plans, you know.” Husk frowned and went back to staring down at his cards. “I’ll listen to anything else except for what their plans for souls are.”
“What? Why? You love hearing me rant about Val.” Angel was confused and tried his best to make eye contact with his stubborn friend.
“I do,” Husk sighed and slouched his shoulders. “But hearing their plans is a different thing entirely. A thing that Alastor could use over me, that I would then have to tell him and put you in danger.”
Angel was lost for words at Husk’s response. He had never actually thought too much about their situation, mainly focusing on the bond they form over each of them having sold their souls.
He didn’t even realize they were owned by rivals.
“Oh, yeah… right.”
