He turned his head to look at the table beside the bed. There was a piece of paper on it. He awkwardly reached for it, bending his free arm uncomfortably to grab it. When he got hold of it, he held it close to his face to read it.
It was a marriage certificate.
One that he signed.

“Holy shit” he said aloud. Beside him, he felt Eddie stir. He didn’t open his eyes.
“What?” He mumbled against Buck’s arm.
“We got married last night.”
