“STEVE!” Eddie rushes in, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “I had the best day, baby.” Eddie drapes himself over the side of the couch, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Steve’s lips before pulling back, his eyes bright and excited. “Work was actually half decent today. Greg didn’t come in today so I got to play whatever I wanted over the speakers.” He drums his fingers on the coffee table. “And this guy came in and asked about the Dio tape I had on and we talked for like an hour about different albums and he took my suggestions for a bunch of them. He bought like ten things!” Eddie wanders into the kitchen, digging in the pantry looking for his–
Steve rolls his eyes, pushing in next to him to grab the Honeycombs off the top shelf and holding them out for Eddie to take. He grins, snatching the box and shoving his hand in, grabbing a handful and stuffing it in his mouth. He keeps talking around his full mouth. “An–thn–I wen–to–prac–”
Steve huffs out a laugh as he settles into one of the chairs at the counter. “Eds, babe. Chew then talk.”
Eddie sighs, sending cereal crumbs scattering across the kitchen, and nods, making a big show of chewing and swallowing before flopping down in the seat next to Steve. “And then I went to practice and Gareth and I finished that song we’ve been working on for like a month! It’s like it just…clicked! That riff I showed you the other day fit perfectly. Remind me later. I have to show you.”
Eddie grins and grabs Steve’s hand, not even giving him a chance to comment on any of that. “What about you? How was your day? Did Dustin drive you nuts?”
