Chapter Text
Cold loneliness. The only feeling that Mikaela has ever felt since he became a half-vampire. He has no one there for him, even when he is alone and in pain. No one. That’s all Mika has ever felt and forever will feel.
Until he meets the one.
The one that will save him from this never ending suffering. But to Mikaela Shindo, there is no hope. If only on that day he wasn’t taken away by the vampires and turned into one of them. Then he wouldn’t feel so deserted.
However, that painful loneliness doesn’t stop the blonde from looking for that one. He wants to be loved by another. He wants to have that love that he’s never felt. The blonde desires it and greeds for it.
That leaves him where he finds himself talking to professional scholars, placed into an exquisite ballroom. The room was full of chatter that was going on amongst the people that occupied the building. The room was cylindrical, pillars at the edges of room. Next to the pillars, sat tables with pastries and sweets, nothing Mikaela could ever have. The walls were painted a subtle tint of gold and on the ceiling there were paintings of angels sitting on top of clouds. From the ceiling, a chandelier hung with the lights shining brightly. In the background, there was classical music that was being played by a variety of musicians. It was a typical ballroom.
Ever since Mikaela has graduated college, at the age of 21, he has been well known around the city of Norwich for his high grades and professionalism.
‘God, I’m exhausted…’ Talking to all these human’s really tired him out, making Mika feel as if he was about to pass out right then and there. With how warm and loud it was in the building, made him extremely tired and claustrophobic. Not only that, controlling himself from attacking a human and sucking their blood, made it even worse for the blonde.
‘I should probably leave here soon. I’m done talking to all the important humans anyway.’ Mika thought to himself, as he started to take his leave. Thankfully, no one else stopped him on his way out and was lucky to get out quickly.
When the vampire had stepped out, the late autumn breeze flowed through his silky, blonde hair. It felt quite refreshing to just feel some cool air and it comforted him a bit. Mika then looked down at the cobblestone road, that was dimly lit by the lanterns that were on the sides on the path. As he began to walk, he instantly felt a slight pain in his head and felt dizzy.
‘I really need some blood…’ Mika then found himself breathing heavily, slowly walking and close to collapsing. ‘Damnit, I really should’ve gotten some blood before I went to the ball.’ The blonde noticed that there were some humans looking over at him, noticing his struggle of walking. ‘I need to get out of sight before more humans notice me.’
The vampire quickly turned into a dark alleyway, not looking back. When he had gotten into the alleyway more, he fell onto the ground, grasping for his head.
For Mika, he had never had human blood. The thought of turning into a full vampire, scared him. He didn’t want to turn into a monster. The blonde thought that would definitely affect his search for his soulmate. The only thing he’d feast on for blood, were rats. It wasn’t the greatest and it honestly made Mika incredibly sick, but it was worth it for not turning into a monster.
However, Mika couldn’t stand it anymore. He was close to breaking and taking a human’s life.
“Oh my god, sir! Are you alright?!” Mika gasped, noticing a human was standing right in front of him. The human had black hair which was pointing in all directions and he wore a regular gray shirt with a black coat on top, and he wore pants that were a bit dirty. But the first thing that the vampire had noticed was those beautiful green eyes. They shone right through Mika, leaving him speechless.
“Um sir? Do I need to get you to a doctor? You look extremely pale…” The man crouched down in front of Mika, those green eyes looking worriedly into his.
Shit. His fangs throbbed like crazy from the sweet smell of blood. The smell radiated powerfully from the man that crouched in front of him.
“I n-need...blood…” He muttered, leaning in closer to the human. The black haired man tilted his head in confusion, raising one of his brows.
“Blood?” Before the man could react anymore, Mika had tackled him. His bloodlust was through the roof and he could no longer control himself.
“Give it to me!” He yelled at the human who was trying to push off the blonde. “What’s gotten into you?!” Mika opened his mouth to sink his teeth into human and he heard a gasp from the man below him. “Y-you can’t be…?!”
Before Mika could bite into the fragile skin of the human, he stopped himself. Those green eyes that shone of fear and horror, somehow stopped the blonde. Mika froze over the human, not moving an inch.
The human hurled a punch towards Mika, knocking him away onto the ground.
“Get the fuck away from me, you monster!” Yuu raises his fist up once more to punch the blonde, but Mika quickly jumps away, in time to dodge the human’s attack.
Mika knew he couldn’t stay around this human, or his face was going to get battered. Usually vampires can recover quickly, but this human’s punches were extremely powerful. The blonde dodges another attack and jumps behind the man, making a run for it.
Thankfully, vampires were much faster so Mika left the scene quick, before the human could attack him more or even worse, report him.
As Mika ran away, back to his home, he couldn’t forget those lush, green eyes. The human was someone that he couldn’t forget. Even if he was trying to attack him, Mikaela somewhat wanted to see the black haired man again.
