    After he caught Padme, Vader took his wife to Mustafar for her to never leave him. The sith lord plans a new wedding for them, valid to the Empire’s eyes and to send a clear message to everyone in the high society of the Empire:

    Padme is his wife. Padme is the most important woman in the galaxy.

    Padme thought it was stupid: she already married the man she loved.
