Work Text:
Blue Lock was a great place, for Bachira to run wild. Play to his hearts content. Do what he loves. Make friends.
Bachira is aware of the slight strain on his friendships with the other Blue Lock members. But he was surprisingly good at keeping what happened on the field and private separated.
Forced proximity doesn't mean, he has to tell them all his secrets, or every unfiltered thought that passes through his head. But he never hid anything, from them that he thought was an important. Besides that big secret.
In a world where male omegas were there rarest secondary gender. It was a big surprise when Team Z found out that Bachira was an omega. Ego-san had blurted it to them whilst they were eating, as his meal came with a suppressant pill.
Bachira wasn't awkward about it, nor was the team. It was actually quite comforting.
While training for the U-20 Japan vs Blue Lock match, he had become closer to most of the Blue Lock players. Bachira and Nagi would be the official sleepy head duo, they took naps together all the time. Wrapped around each other as soon as dinner was over.
Otoya and Bachira, together were platonic soul mates. The two had unbelievable crack head energy. A match made in heaven, or hell Yukimiya would say.
Bachira never had so many friends. He's never had any friends. He's never been able to make any friends. So what he's forged in Blue Lock was really important to him.
On the other hand Bachira was still a very mysterious person to he rest of the Blue Lock. He never spoke about anything other than football and the once off mention that he doesn't have a father. He was friendly, but left no room to know more about him at least not truly.
When they met after the match, outside of Blue Lock for the first time. Bachira was happy to be with them. Bowling was fun.
Later that day, they reach a calm park and decide to hang there for a while. They liked it so much that they'd meet back there to the next day for a picnic.
"Where's Bachira," Chigiri looks around the park for any sign of the omega.
"We'd know if he was near," Reo explains.
"I'm not late am I," Bachira yells as he comes running towards then, Rin in tow albeit much slower.
The team does a double take, Bachira in a black and white plaid skirt. Black fishnets stockings, a cropped black sweater vest with large white short sleeve button up. Paired with chunky sneakers, a mini sling bag with a embroidered Dolphin on.
"Lord, I am not your strongest soldier," Karasu groans as Bachira flits past, with a cheeky smile as he finds Otoya and all but sprawls himself across his soul mate.
"How did you find Rin," Isagi asked.
"I just asked him to come? Plus we're going back the day after tomorrow, who knows what might happen to us," Bachira explains with a shrug.
"After this stage it's the tryouts for the national team, isn't it," Reo brings up.
"Then it's the World Cup," Bachira laughs. "It would be nice to have Aiku Oliver in Blue Lock," he added in with a bright smile.
"You want more competition," Reo asks.
"I don't care. I wanna suck his dick," Bachira chuckles. The boys choke, Nagi doesn't, he's intrigued, but doesn't choke.
Bachira laughs, their picnic goes as planned. It's fun and light hearted until it's not.
"This is fun," Bachira says randomly.
"Having a picnic," Isagi questions.
"Having friends," Bachira smiles. A delicate silence falls over them.
"Why didn't you have friends," Reo asks.
Bachira squints his eyebrows, then give a light shrug. "It's always easier to stand out than to blend in. I could never fit in, anywhere. I had a bad rep too."
"Did you hang out with gangsters or something?"
"The Rugby team wouldn't be considered gangsters. I wouldn't call them friends, but they did adore me. They felt like an older brother's friend group, that you'd have sex with."
"You had sex with the Rugby team?"
"Not all of them, but besides that. But then I was considered the Rugby team's whore. I didn't mind. They protected me. I was respected there."
"Was it because you're an omega?"
"Or maybe I have horrible taste in men," Bachira hums absent-minded, as his eyes follow a bee. He holds his finger out as the bee land on it. "My first boyfriend, had me as a side bitch. He was straight by the way."
"That's nasty," Chigiri scowls at the information.
"He was the captain of my middle school football team. Showed me a little interest, I fall for it. I didn't know he had a girlfriend. Not until like two days before she caught us together."
"Of course, I'm the one who tempted him. I was shunned by the entire school."
"I was bullied for an entire term. It gets so bad I end up doinh homeschooling the rest of the year. Ma and I moved back to Chiba. At least there the people were less hostile. Until the rumors from Middle school followed me. Because the past doesn't die."
"But I found out, I would rather be surrounded by people who hate me, than feel alone. Back then I was so lonely, I felt like dying. But now I play football, with some of the best players in Japan. I'm just going to keep on going from here."
Bachira wasn't really focusing on the reactions to his story, but rather on the two bees he was holding in his palm shooing them gently into a bed of flowers. He leans down to inspect the flowers further, when a royal blue butterfly lands on Bachira's nose. He goes cross eyed trying to look at the butterfly with a faint blush on his cheeks.
Nagi tilts his head, as he snaps a photo of the moment. He can't say he was the only who caught the moment.
Bachira turns back to the team, then plops down next to Nagi. Laying his head in Nagi's lap, Bachira started another random conversation. Completely forgetting his trauma dump.
They were getting ready to leave, as the park started to fill up nearby. There seemed to be some type of event. Bachira perks up at the sound of music, he jumps up and runs to the direction.
The rest kind of follow him, only to find Bachira, dancing with a bunch of stranger, all of them doing the choreography. But Bachira just shines, within the crowd. He's in the very front, giving his best as everyone just blends to a blur behind him.
Bachira finds them looking at him and he smiles brightly at them mid-turn. It's blinding. He's the center of attention.
They split up later that afternoon, just as the sun finished setting. Bachira ends up going with Nagi and Reo, they walk Bachira to his guesthouse. Nagi was playing games on his phone, but just subtly paying attention to the Omega.
Bachira walks with a skip, minding his own as almost every person gawks at him as he passed them, looking at everything but the people drooling behind him.
Nagi glances at Reo, only to find him also looking back at him. Reo shakes his head with a sigh.
"Let's go to the claw machines," Reo suggests as they stop infront of a store filled with arcade games.
Reo comes back with a handful of tokens. This owner, would hate letting them in. Reo was great at this and Nagi was even better and he did it without statergy. Nagi was too lazy to play for a long time, so he just draped himself over Bachira.
Bachira was hopping out of the store with an armful of plushies. He didn't notice as people cleared a path for him, because he smelled like Nagi, who was towering behind him. Bachira was already naming the plushies the most absurd names.
Bachira bids them a goodnight, leaving them out on the street. Reo hums, Nagi doesn't wave, he barely just nods his head.
"You've never walked anyone home," Reo remarks as his driver comes to pick them up.
"Hmmm," Nagi wonders sleepily. "He's too..."
"You've never looked at anyone like that Nagi. It's okay to like omegas. But Meguru he's complicated."
"I never said I liked him," Nagi mumbles as he adjust himself in the seat.
"It's happens faster than you think," Reo sighs as Nagi was already sleeping.
They find Bachira sleeping on the bus, headphones over his ears, a plushy of a wolf pressed against his chest. Nagi takes the seat next to Bachira, because he too was already sleepy.
Too bad for Nagi, Bachira was woken up by the movement of the bus. Then starts the trip, Bachira is up and fired.
Either singing to the music, from their Blue Lock Playlist on Spotify. They made it at the park, yesterday Chigiri was in charge of it.
"If you could date any Blue Lock player who would you date?"
"None of you. I don't date. Plus none of you are my type," Bachira laughs.
"What's your type?"
"Someone Regal. They carry themselves like royalty. Are rude. And inconsiderate, in order to benefit themselves."
"Why would anyone like a person like that?"
"It makes me want to see them desperately wanting something" Bachira explains. "Someone who isn't desperate."
"Lord, I'm not ya strongest soldier," Karasu complains.
"Karasu, for you. I'll let you hit for free," Bachira tells him with a sly smile.
"Bring ya ass here," Karasu calls him over. Bachira laughs brightly as he skips over to Karasu, sits in his lap pulling him into a hot and deep kiss.
"Someone stop them," Raichi yells. Hiori next to them, just watches them.
Bachira ends up back in his seat, Nagi hugging the plushy to his chest as he played on his phone. The two end up falling asleep again, heads leaning on each other.
Bachira wakes up, he doesn't jostle Nagi though, he just gently shifts to do what he wants. They arrive at Blue Lock, Bachira pulls his headphones off his ears.
Bachira looked longingly at the sky, bidding it farewell. Promising that he'll come out stronger, when they meet again. He takes a step forward, towards his future.
Before they split apart, Bachira gifts them animal plushies. Reo gets a chameleon, Chigiri gets a pink panther, Isagi gets a Dolphin, Rin got an owl and Nagi got a wolf.
"If you guys can't beat me, you're dead," Bachira smiles before following the players that chose the Spanish league.
