Kanade rarely left the house. At least she considered it a house, mainly because she had a habit of humbling herself. Kanade rarely left her castle. She was double-checking that all the curtains were closed, it was quite dark as usual.
The only light came from the faint glow of her computer. After getting turned into a vampire after exploring the castle, she just kinda lived there as if it was where she lived since she was born. When she became a vampire, she had internet access and got all of her stuff shipped to her new home. Poor Amazon workers.
She had gotten accustomed to living in secret, wearing clothes from the previous owners, eating the livestock, and having the books be her only other friend. She had always felt bad whenever she thought of her past life. And about her father, who was probably worried sick about his only child. Kanade missed him.
She would usually go shopping for more food at night at her local 7/11, which was a short 30 minutes away, at least on foot. She still ate human food, but less.
Tonight, she would go to a farm and eat a farm animal’s blood.

Mafuyu was a high school girl, average in everything but her high grades. She was going to become a nurse until her parents told her she could be doing so much more for the world. That's when her parents told her that some of her family were vampire hunters, to which Mafuyu thought they were pulling her leg.
One day, she stumbled upon an astonishing discovery. As she delved into her family history, she unearthed a long-standing tradition of vampire hunters in her lineage. Determined to honor her family's legacy, she devoted herself to rigorous training, just as her parents had advised her. Every day, she worked tirelessly to master the skills required to carry out her duty as a protector of humanity against the undead.
She would usually take late-night walks when she needed something to do. Another hobby she had was archery, which she took to make her parents proud. But her favorite hobby was the online band she was in. She was invited by another girl, K, and worked with two others. She was the lyricist.
Tonight, she would kill her first vampire.
