Summary
All young women yearned for marriage. They wished to meet a handsome man, they dreamed of their wedding, and they prayed that they would bear his children. Except apparently being married was not even a requirement as men and women were perfectly able to procreate even outside of wedlock. Why did people then trouble themselves with such complications as was courtship, when all it took was one single night? That she did not understand.
Because still, all young women yearned for marriage.
All but one. All but her, it seemed.***
It had started off simply. Important things often do, whether they are good or bad. Good company, too much wine, and one question. ‘Would you like to draw me?’ It had been more of a challenge than a question, and Benedict could tell by the mischievous glint in his friend's eyes, a certain daring that always spelled trouble.
Would you like to draw me?
What a fucking stupid question. There was nothing he would like more.***
The Bridgertons attend a ball. Two of them kiss a man, one of them likes it, one of them does not.
Feelings ensue.
