Being part of Le Sserafim was undoubtedly one of Yunjin’s most cherished aspects of her life. She held a deep affection for her team, from the dedicated staff and managers to her fellow members, whose bond transcended beyond coworkers. If there were an award for the "best crew and staff," Yunjin would readily bestow it upon the Le Sserafim team without hesitation.
Amidst the whirlwind of promoting and live performances, the group of five received an unexpected gift from their team—a day off. It became a bit of a tradition for them to have a day off somewhere nice after promotions, which made it all even more worth it.
Excited squeals filled the car as they eagerly anticipated the adventure that lay ahead.
Yunjin stole a glance at Kazuha, whose radiant smile mirrored her own excitement for the surprise destination. The sight of Kazuha's happiness warmed Yunjin's heart, giving her even more reasons to look forward to this trip.
Upon arrival at the apartment complex, the group dispersed to their respective dwellings to pack for the trip. In a flurry of activity, Yunjin gathered her essentials, grateful for her meticulously prepared emergency skincare bag and a few spare clothes. As an added precaution, she tucked some pills into her bag, just in case they were needed.
With preparations complete, Yunjin sent a quick text to Kazuha, confirming their readiness to depart.
Are u guys done?
Yeah, Kkura unnie already dragged me outside to the car 🥲
:)))
We’ll be out soon
I’ll wait for you at the door <3
Putting her phone away, Yunjin noticed that time was passing and her fellow members seemed to take longer than anticipated. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of impatience.
Venturing into Eunchae's room, she started playfully scolded her. “Yah, are you guys packing the whole bedroom with you? It’s only a day.” The younger girl was sat on her bed, seemingly putting on some perfume before turning to face Yunjin.
“I’m done, I just couldn’t find my headphones charger.” She put her charger in the handbag, heading out the door.
Yunjin stepped aside, letting her come out. At the same time, Chaewon emerged from her own bedroom.
“Let’s go! I’m actually excited, I like it when I don’t have to pay for a trip. I’m so sure we’re going to Jeju Island.” The short hair girl said, making the other two cheer in agreement.
“I always think about that, you know? I get payed to literally go on vacation. I love my life.” The youngest of the three admitted, making her way into the living room.
Yunjin looked at Chaewon before laughing at their maknae’s words. Their playful banter and shared anticipation filled the air with laughter as they made their way to the waiting car downstairs.
Keeping her word, Kazuha waited for Yunjin at the building's exit, leaning against the wall while engrossed in her phone. Seizing the opportunity offered by the privacy of the closed door, Yunjin didn’t hesitate to approach and envelop Kazuha in a warm hug.
Feeling Yunjin's arms around her, Kazuha instinctively tucked her phone away, reciprocating the embrace by encircling Yunjin's waist and drawing her closer. Yunjin nestled her face into the crook of Kazuha’s neck, finding comfort in the familiar scent of her girlfriend's favorite body lotion—a cherry one, that Yunjin gifted her.
Their tender moment, however, was abruptly interrupted by the noisy arrival of the two other members.
"Aww, you guys are so cute. Kiss please, I need to send this to Kkura unnie," the youngest member exclaimed, swiftly pulling out her phone to capture the affectionate scene unfolding between her older peers. Yunjin was sure the youngest member had more photos of her and Kazuha than Yunjin herself.
"Yah, Eunchae, give them a bit of privacy! We'll be surrounded by cameras for two days; this might be the only opportunity they have to be close like this," their leader interjected, gently ushering the protesting maknae out the door. With a knowing wink at the couple, she left them to enjoy a moment of intimacy in peace.
Yunjin chuckled softly, turning to meet the gaze of Kazuha's twinkling eyes. "Hi," she murmured, the hollowness of the hallway amplifying the sound of her voice.
"Hey," her girlfriend replied, her smile unwavering.
Creating a small gap between them, Yunjin let her arms hang loosely around Kazuha's neck. "Ah, I've been thinking about you all day. I kept asking myself what were you thinking, how were you feeling, if you ate, if you missed me…" she confessed, idly toying with Kazuha's necklace. "I barely had a chance to talk to you," she added with a playful pout.
Kazuha enveloped Yunjin in her embrace once more, her hands moving soothingly over Yunjin's back. "Well, I did miss you, obviously. The changing room was so quiet without you singing next to me. And other than choreography, you’re all I think about,” she smiled sheepishly. “But I'm sorry, Yunjinnie. We have so many rehearsals for the end of the year, I’ve all been all over the place lately," she explained, her touch conveying a desire to make up for the time they missed together throughout the day.
Drawing back slightly from the warmth of Kazuha's embrace, Yunjin studied her girlfriend's appearance. Kazuha was cozily bundled up in a large puffer jacket, radiating warmth that enveloped Yunjin.
"It's alright. You're too cute to stay mad at," she teased, eliciting a laugh from Kazuha.
Captivated by the adorable smile gracing her lips, Yunjin leaned in, pressing her lips against Kazuha's eagerly awaiting ones. Kazuha's lips were always so soft and warm, causing a delightful weakness to surge through Yunjin's knees. With a gentle tilt of her head, Kazuha granted Yunjin unrestricted access, allowing her to savor every moment of their tender embrace.
And Yunjin never missed the opportunity to savor a kiss from her girlfriend, knowing how rare each moment was amidst their hectic schedules.
Ignoring the faint annoyance their manager likely felt by now, Yunjin savored the taste of Kazuha's lips, nibbling gently on her bottom lip before tracing it with her tongue in a tender dance of affection.
Their breaths mingled, fastening in anticipation as their tongues finally reunited after what felt like an eternity apart. Kazuha's fingers found themselves on the side of Yunjin's face, pulling her closer as if trying to imprint the taste of her lips onto her own for the days ahead, wanting to carry a piece of Yunjin with her wherever she went.
The kiss aroused a wildfire of desire that surged through Yunjin's veins, setting her senses ablaze with an intensity that left her breathless. Their compatibility in almost every aspect of their relationship, was undeniable. However, their sexual chemistry was out of this world, something Yunjin has never experienced before.
It also spurred her on even more knowing that Kazuha wasn’t extremely fond of physical touch, but would never hesitate to reciprocate when it came to Yunjin.
Their hands, driven by an insatiable hunger, roamed eagerly over each other's bodies, yearning for the warmth of bare skin beneath their fingertips. Unable to resist the temptation, Yunjin tugged at Kazuha's hoodie, tracing her hand along her girlfriend's toned abdomen, eliciting a soft whimper from the ballerina.
“So predictable,” Kazuha teased, earning a particularly aggressive pinch from her girlfriend.
“Shut up,” Yunjin snarled playfully.
Sadly, before their lips could meet once more, a sharp knock on the door shattered the moment, drawing them reluctantly apart. Yunjin and Kazuha exchanged a disappointed glance, both silently wishing for just a few more moments alone together.
Before they could gather their thoughts, Chaewon made her way inside the hallway, her expression looking apologetic. "I’m really sorry to interrupt but manager Kim is getting impatient. He said we’re gonna be late. We made up a bunch of stuff to stall as much as we could, but they said that we need to go now,” she said, her gaze holding a sense of empathy towards the couple.
Yunjin sighed softly, reluctantly pulling away from Kazuha's embrace. "Thank you, Chaewon-ah. We'll be right out," she called back, her tone tinged with disappointment.
Chaewon was about to leave but turned her attention towards them once again. “Oh, before I go, among our lies, we might’ve told the manager that you and Kazuha had some bad boba and that you both needed to go to the bathroom. So just try and act as if you just had like really bad diarrhea.”
The girl left before they could express their displeasure with her request. Yunjin turned her attention back to Kazuha, bursting into laughter as soon as their eyes meet.
As their laughter subsided, Yunjin shook her head, still chuckling. "I can't believe she just said that."
Kazuha grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, at least it's better than explaining why we were actually taking so long in here."
Yunjin looked at her with a questioning expression, wiping a tear of laughter from her eye. "Is it though? Let's just hope we can keep a straight face when we see the manager."
With a shared grin and one last kiss, they composed themselves and headed towards the door, ready to face whatever antics awaited them on their short trip.
On the way there, the car was filled with chatter as the girls discussed what possible adventures were waiting for them. Excited squeals filled the air when their destination was revealed to be Jeju Island, just like Chaewon predicted.
Yunjin tried her best not to steal too many glances at her girlfriend, who was seated next to Sakura and Eunchae, looking so cute and cuddly. It was her first time going to Jeju and Yunjin felt grateful to be with her during it.
The flight to Jeju passed quickly and without incident, although they had to navigate through a sea of fans waiting at the airport. Upon arrival, they boarded a mini-van that drove them for another thirty minutes until they reached a sprawling villa seemingly isolated in the middle of nowhere.
"Wow, it's huge," Sakura exclaimed, marveling at the house before them.
“That’s what she said,” their youngest didn’t hesitate, earning groans of disappointment from her members.
Sakura shook her head. “Manchae, you’ve been spending too much time around Yunjin,” she said, earning a playful shove from the latter.
"There are so many people too," Chaewon added nervously, known for her dislike of crowded places, especially for sleeping arrangements. Yunjin couldn't help but be surprised that Chaewon had adapted to the four of them being attached to her almost seven days a week.
After having her soul scared out of her body by someone dressed in a tangerine costume, they entered the spacious yard where staff and, most importantly, food awaited them.
"THEY HAVE BARBECUE!" Yunjin yelled accidentally, unable to contain her excitement.
Covering her ears, Chaewon teased, "Are you trying to announce the neighbors too?" Yunjin playfully pushed her, joining the others inside.
The house was roomy enough for five hyperactive girls and their staff to fit comfortably. They would all be sleeping in the same room on five mattresses, like a sleepover.
"We agree that Kazuha and Yunjin can't sleep next to each other, right?" Sakura asked, making Yunjin pout in disappointment. She knew Sakura was right, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t be upset about it.
Chaewon nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's not wise to let the clingy couple sleep together. I barely managed to separate them earlier. Jesus, Yunjin was holding onto Zuha’s abs for dear li-"
“Yaaah, why are you lying?” Yunjin playfully scolded her, feigning offense. "We just needed a moment to process what you just told us," she defended, causing Chaewon to burst into laughter.
“Why? What did you tell them?” The younger girl asked, her eyebrows raised with curiosity.
Chaewon managed to calm down for a moment before looking at Eunchae. “I said that we told Mr. Kim that they drank something bad, so they should pretend to have a stomach ache,” after a few seconds Sakura started laughing in realization.
“Is that why you guys kept on randomly groaning during the trip?” She asks. “I even offered Zuha a pill and she actually took it,” she points to the ballerina, looking at her in surprise.
Yunjin couldn’t help but laugh. “Zuha-yah, did you really take the pill?” She looked at her girlfriend, who had a little smile on her face, seemingly not understanding that they were tricked by their group leader.
Kazuha simply shrugged. “I was committed to the lie,” she explained, causing laughter to fill the small room.
The cameras weren’t on yet so they knew this wasn’t being filmed. They’ll have to make another trip upstairs when the cameras are on and pretend like they didn’t already see the room.
Yunjin couldn’t help but cast a look in Kazuha’s direction, the corners of her lips still turned in a smile. Her girlfriend’s eyes were already looking back, a hint of amusement dancing on her face, as she presumably finally understood what happened. Yunjin gave her a wink and puckered her lips, sending a quick flying kiss in Kazuha’s direction before their managers called them downstairs to start filming.
As the cameras began rolling, the group effortlessly slipped into their roles, each member showcasing their unique personalities for the viewers at home. Yunjin found herself drawn to Kazuha, their playful exchanges and subtle glances speaking volumes without a single word being uttered.
As they filmed, the atmosphere in the room became charged with energy, the excitement of being together in a new place fueling their interactions. Laughter echoed off the walls as they shared inside jokes that only they understood and often only they found funny. Yunjin enjoyed this thing about them, the fact that they shared the same humor, or like Sakura would say “they shared the same brain cell”.
After looking around the whole house, the five girls made their way into the kitchen, where mainly Sakura and Yunjin started preparing food for them to eat. The staff was outside preparing the meat, while inside they made noodles and scallops.
Eunchae also wanted to help but was quickly refused by Sakura who wouldn’t allow her to do anything when she was injured —meaning Eunchae had accidentally cut her finger while trying to peel an apple earlier that day.
Kazuha also left the kitchen area and went to Chaewon, offering assistance setting up the YouTube account on the TV after Sakura had scolded her for staring at Yunjin too openly. But Kazuha couldn’t help it. The blonde girl looked especially captivating wearing glasses and her hair tied up in a ponytail. This was her girlfriend Yunjin - the one who liked to cry at movies, whether they were happy or sad, who wrote in her journal after getting in bed and who would never refuse a snack after midnight, because she likes to believe that calories don’t count between 12am and 6am. She loved idol Yunjin, but she absolutely adored casual Yunjin.
As the night continued, the group finally gathered around a makeshift dinner table, feasting on the barbecue spread that had been prepared for them and the noodles and scallops Yunjin and Sakura cooked. The food was delicious, but it was the company that made the meal truly special.
“This food is amazing," Sakura exclaimed, her mouth full of meat.
Yunjin nodded in agreement, savoring the flavors as she listened to the chatter around her. She stole occasional glances at the girl next to her, who was happily munching on the scallops she cooked. One could say that if they end up getting married, Yunjin wouldn’t be scared to cook for Kazuha, since she eats just about anything you give her.
Despite the collective decision that the couple shouldn't share a sleeping space, they all deliberately left the seat beside Yunjin unoccupied when they gathered to eat. It was a small gesture, but it mattered a lot to Yunjin.
The conversation continued to flow as they talked about everything and nothing. Learning that Kazuha’s MBTI changed from E to I sparked a lively debate among them. They shared stories about their struggles before debuting and it was moments like these that made all the sacrifices and hardships of their profession worth it—a reminder of the bond that held them together, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
As the evening progressed, the group decided to venture outside, drawn by the allure of a crackling fire under the starry sky. They gathered around the flames, marshmallows and biscuits in hand, ready to indulge in some delicious s'mores at the youngest member’s request.
Conversations easily went back and forth between them, making fun of each other like they usually would, not minding the cameras.
Eunchae, dressed in a vibrant, rainbow-hued outfit that stood out amidst the black attires worn by the others, became the center of attention.
"Look at her," Sakura remarked, her tone playful as she gestured to Eunchae's ensemble. “She’s sticking out among us.”
Chaewon started laughing at their maknae’s cute cheeks as she had her mouth full. “Is the marshmallow good?” She asked, getting a smile of approval in return.
“She’s the star of show,” Yunjin playfully said, pulling her phone out to snap some pictures of the girl.
Eunchae grinned sheepishly. "I figured I'd bring some cheer to the party," she quipped, earning chuckles from the group.
They started joking around about being Eunchae’s staff while the girl fully enjoyed the attention she was receiving from her unnies.
They spent the next few moments snapping photos, capturing the warmth of the firelight and the atmosphere shared among them. Laughter filled the air as they posed for impromptu shots, each one making them laugh harder than the previous. Yunjin also made sure to steal Kazuha away for a few selfies together.
“You look cute with that little tangerine headband.” Kazuha said, her gaze meeting Yunjin’s with a soft intensity. “But honestly, you make everything look good.” Kazuha added with a wink, something that was quite out of character for her.
Yunjin felt her cheeks flush, the warmth spreading across her face unrelated to the fire crackling nearby. Unable to meet her girlfriend's eyes without feeling the urge to lean in for a kiss, Yunjin shifted her gaze downward, hiding her embarrassment. Kazuha couldn't suppress her smile at the sight of her flustered partner.
"Zuha, stop giving me that look!" Yunjin protested, her hands instinctively rising to cover her blushing cheeks.
Feigning innocence, Kazuha responded, "What look?"
Yunjin rolled her eyes playfully, secretly reveling in Kazuha's playful teasing. There were moments when Kazuha would flirt with her as if they were still in the early stages of their relationship, and each time, it made Yunjin's heart flutter anew.
In a playful gesture, Yunjin pushed Kazuha lightly, prompting the couple to join the rest of the group gathered around the fire once more.
As the night grew colder, their conversations took on a more sentimental tone. Wrapped in the warmth of the fire's glow, the girls shared their thoughts on their upcoming comeback, expressing gratitude for the unwavering support they received and reminiscing about the hard work they had all invested. It was moments like these that solidified their bond, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
“Okay, who wants to go inside and watch a movie? It’s getting really cold out here,” Chaewon suggested, rubbing her arms as the cold was making her shiver.
Sakura was the first to answer. “We have time for a movie. It’s only 10pm, so we can all shower and then come back to watch something,” she suggested, earning sounds of agreement from the others.
The girls hurried inside, the cold air finally becoming a bit too much for everyone. The staff took a break as the girls were tending to their own business.
Yunjin came behind Kazuha, placing her hands around her neck, trying to make it look like a friendly hug. However, Yunjin’s intentions were far from friendly.
“Do you wanna go shower together?” She murmured into Kazuha’s ear, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Turning her head to face her, Kazuha shot her a knowing look. The other three girls were going around, getting ready for their shower and arguing about who gets to go first.
“You just can’t resist me, can you?” Kazuha teased, a playful smirk tugging at her lips.
Yunjin chuckled. It seems like her girlfriend was set on making her blush tonight. “I just thought we could have a few minutes of couple time,” she admitted, her arms dropping to her side as Kazuha turned around.
With a thoughtful expression, Kazuha contemplated Yunjin’s proposal. “Couple time, huh? What if I’m not in the mood for that?” She countered, though the playful twinkle in her eyes betrayed her feigned seriousness.
Yunjin let out a mock sigh. “Ah, you’re so impossible,” she complained, feigning exasperation as she turned to leave.
But before Yunjin could make her escape, Kazuha caught her hand, pulling her along as they made their way toward the stairs. Their departure went unnoticed by the other members, who were preoccupied with their own shower arrangements, leaving their clandestine rendezvous undiscovered—for now.
“What are we doing here?” Yunjin asked as they reached the upstairs area, but stopped in the dark hallway, in front of the room that had at least three cameras.
Kazuha turned around, looking at Yunjin with a rare glint in her eyes. “This is the only place where they don’t have cameras.”
With a mischievous grin, she pulled Yunjin closer, her fingers lightly tracing patterns on Yunjin's arm. "So, what's the plan for our couple time?" she murmured, her voice laced with playful anticipation.
Yunjin's heart fluttered at the closeness between them, a warmth spreading through her chest. Kazuha was the only person who could still make her feel like a teenager in love, even after being together for so long. "Well, I was thinking we could start with a relaxing shower," she suggested, her tone soft and suggestive.
Kazuha's gaze sparkled with amusement as she leaned in, her breath ghosting over Yunjin's ear. "Mmm, sounds tempting," she murmured, her lips brushing against Yunjin's skin. "But what about the before-shower routine?"
Yunjin's cheeks flushed at the implication, but she couldn't suppress the smile tugging at her lips. "I have a few ideas in mind," she replied coyly, her heart racing with anticipation.
With a playful twinkle in her eye, Kazuha leaned in, so tantalizingly close Yunjin could feel their breaths mingling. The air between them crackled with an electric charge, a palpable tension that did nothing but pull them closer.
Kazuha’s eyes, dark pools of desire, locked on Yunjin’s with an unspoken understanding only intertwined souls could achieve. She expected the kiss, it was hungrily sitting between them. But when it happened - when their lips brushed against each other - Yunjin felt shivers down her spine, instinctively grasping onto Kazuha’s shirt, seeking an anchor in the dizzying whirlwind of emotions.
There was something magic in the way Kazuha kissed Yunjin. It was the strangest feeling that became her favorite. The way Kazuha kissed her slowly, making her forget about any other mouth her mouth has ever touched. The feeling of her finger tips never ceasing their journey on her body, a journey that someone else would’ve finished long ago, seemed to have no end for Kazuha. She has probably traced thousands of maps on her body, yet she acts just as eager every single time she’s touching her.
Kazuha’s hands went higher, over Yunjin’s sports bra, cupping her breast. Yunjin’s moan was completely swallowed by Kazuha’s lips, keeping her quiet.
Ask her what 2+2 is right now, and she’ll only be able to tell you the name of the girl that’s kissing her, like she’s the first and last piece of chocolate she’ll ever have.
In that moment, Yunjin was lost in a world where only Kazuha existed, her senses consumed by the intoxicating taste of her lips and the electrifying touch of her fingers. It was a sensation unlike any other, a feeling of being wholly and completely alive in the presence of the one she loved. And as Kazuha kissed her with a fervor that bordered on desperation, Yunjin knew that she would follow her to the ends of the earth, forever captivated by the magic of their love.
“I’m super shy, super sh- oh fuck!” Eunchae’s eyes widened as she let out a surprised curse, her cheeks flushing crimson as she turned away, mortified by the unexpected intrusion.
Startled, the girls broke apart, leaving a good two feet distance between them, as if that would fix the fact that they tainted their youngest member’s innocence.
“I-I’m so sorry, the girls didn’t think to tell me you guys were upstairs,” the girl blurted out, obviously flustered.
Yunjin and Kazuha exchanged embarrassed glances, feeling a wave of discomfort wash over them at the realization that they had been caught in such an intimate moment by their youngest member. It was like having their little sister stumble upon them in a compromising position, and the embarrassment was almost too much to bear.
"Ah, it's okay. Don’t worry about it," Yunjin managed to stammer out, her cheeks still tinged pink with embarrassment. She casted a look at Kazuha, almost bursting out into laughter at the mortified look on the girl’s face. She cleared her throat, keeping her composure. “We’re sorry, Manche. We should’ve been more careful.”
Eunchae turned around giving the both of them a once over before mumbling one more apology and hurrying back downstairs.
As soon as she left, Yunjin broke her character, hysterically laughing at the embarrassment they just went through.
“I had my hand in your bra.” Kazuha murmured, the sheer terror in her eyes making Yunjin tumble down with laughter. “Stop laughing, Yunjinnie. I’m so embarrassed, I don’t think I can ever look her in the eyes again,”
Sensing the girl’s exasperation, Yunjin got up, pulling her into a hug. “It’s gonna be fine, Zuha-yah. Think about it this way, she’ll probably be too embarrassed to make fun of us, so we have the upper hand,” she explains. “Plus, if she makes fun of you, I’ll have to remind her of the name she set for Sakura in her phone,” Yunjin laughed.
Kazuha furrowed her eyebrows slightly. “What is it?” She asks curiously.
“Hmm? What is what?”
“The name?” Kazuha presses.
“Oh. It’s not important. Let’s go shower, is getting late.” Yunjin smiles innocently, softly pushing Kazuha downstairs where the other members were.
The rest of the evening passed by quite uneventful. The girls sat down on the couch to watch a movie - a horror one, at Sakura’s excited request.
The movie began, and soon, the room was filled with tense anticipation and occasional shrieks as the characters on screen encountered terrifying situations. The girls found themselves jumping at every unexpected noise, clutching onto each other in fear.
At one particularly intense moment, a loud bang echoed from outside the villa, causing everyone to scream in unison. Yunjin was sure they’ll laugh about it when they’ll watch this, but in the moment her heart almost threw up.
From the corner of her eye, she could see the way Kazuha was struggling to hold the weight of her head. She smiled adoringly at her girlfriend, before suggesting that they should head to bed.
It was quite funny how Kazuha’s body had its own clock. As soon as it passed midnight, she’ll immediately start getting sleepy. And for a girl as sensitive as Kazuha, she slept like an absolute rock. There was one time when Kazuha got a call from her mom in the middle of a nap and Yunjin had to answer it because the girl wouldn’t wake up.
And just like she expected, Kazuha went upstairs right after Sakura. By the time Yunjin got upstairs she could already hear soft snores coming from them. She quietly made her way to her mattress, settling down and finally let sleep take over her as she dreamed of the beautiful girl sleeping in the far left corner of the room.
