Raven wakes up from a nap, she's in her room, curtains drawn, lights off. On her chest sleeps her twin granddaughters, Ashe and Dusk. Blake and Yang are over for a little while to help them adjust to parenthood. It's a fauna tradition, and the new grandparents are more than happy to oblige since they can't travel yet.
She looks over both babies, Ashe is the human child, she's got a tuft of black hair on the top of her head and lil tiny wisps of hair on her arms and chest like blake and Dusk the faunas child is blonde like yang, but with a little tail and ears, hilariously enough she's not as fuzzy as her twin and looks bald in comparison. It makes Raven smile, happy to be taking care of these two precious babies. They remind her of Yang when she was little, but far quieter, Kali says that that's entirely Blake, since she was a very quiet baby.
Soon Ashe opens her red eyes to look at Raven, reaching her hand out, the older woman gives her a finger to hold and her heart melts. "I love you both so so much" she murmurs as they enjoy the quiet moment.
Soon after Dusk is awake and rooting around, it seems like she's hungry. Raven pushes the little buzzer Blake gave her that calls for her without shouting since her room is in the back corner of the upper floor. The faunas soon appears, poking her head in "Everything alright?" she asks with just a lil anxiety in her voice "Yeah, of course, seems like little Dusk is hungry" she says, gesturing to the little cub rooting around on her chest. Blake giggles as she goes to get her daughter "Come here little one" she coos as she takes Dusk to feed, going to sit in the rocker next to Raven's bed. The very same rocker that Yang and Ruby were coddled in. "How're you feeling Blake?" Raven asks as she sits up to cradle Ashe
"Still sore, but I expected that, I also feel like I need to sleep more" she says softly. Raven nods "If you need to sleep more go ahead, we got bottles prepared for that you know" she says as she lets the baby nibble on her finger "I know, but, I dunno, I don't want to miss anything, anything at all" she murmurs. Raven smiles knowingly "That may be true, but you need your rest, and I mean I'm not shy, sleep in my bed with me while I hold the babies” she says with a shrug. Blake smiles softly "That might not be a bad idea" she says thinking "What if Yang joins too?" she teases "Fine by me, it's a big bed, plus it's not like Yang hasn't spent days with me" she says with a smirk. Blake giggles with another small smile. She's deeply thankful for all of this, she already knew Yang's parents were going to be amazing grandparents because of Rust, but the care they've gotten since they came over a week ago has been exceptional, they haven't had to lift a finger, being able to bond with the babies and each other. It's been invaluable, it also makes Blake more excited for the future to see these babies grow up with more love than they could possibly ask for.
