“What is your name?” Peach tilted her head to the side as she said it, seemingly appraising him.
“You were taken in the middle of the night by force from your kingdom into an unfamiliar castle, you look upon a monster who likely orchestrated it, and you ask his name?” The king looked dumbfounded.
“You don’t look like a monster to me.”
Her words seemed to take the king by surprise, and he hesitated incredulously before saying “So you have little self-preservation, then? No ability to separate predators from prey?”
“If you were going to hurt me, I think you would have already. And I’m not the easy prey you seem to think I am.”
He chuckled, amused by her. “Smart princess.”
She raised an eyebrow, clearly irritated by his patronizing. “Overconfident Koopa.”
