   Summary

   The moment he arrived in New York City, fresh off the boat with his posh accent and lavish style of dress, he was a beacon to every charlatan, every conman, every scoundrel, rogue, and swindler in the entirety of the city, each of them looking to make a quick buck off a naïve tourist. And, as Maxwell is so fond of reminding him, the same for literally any other much more nefarious individual skulking about. Okay, he supposes he could have been a bit more discreet. If only to have avoided his current situation, which he still firmly believes wasn’t really his fault. Really, who would want to be kidnapped?!
