Work Text:
Jeff sat at his seat at the table of Group Study Room F in the library, with a genuine smile on his face, as it's so out of character of him as he can only be seen with a smug, wicked smirk or grin whenever he's planning to do something devious, but this time is different from all of the other times that he's ever said and/or did. As Troy, Abed, Annie, Britta, and Shirley made their way to the room, they looked confused, curious, and suspicious of the former lawyer's intentions or his demands for them, considering the text message they received from him to skip class and and come to Study Group Room F to kill time and not actually study, as usual. Annie felt bummed about her communications class getting canceled for the week, Shirley's business within Greendale's cafeteria was growing, Britta needed a break from ranting about capitalism and conservatism to an innocent group of botany majors, and Troy and Abed are just what you would expect. On taking their usual seats, they expected Jeff to ask for money from them, as that's what Britta may assume, considering her years experience in activism. As a Winger speech unites the group altogether no matter the craziest of circumstances or situations the Study Group might land themselves into, just the six of them sitting in Study Room F feels strangely normal for a change in antics, even as rare as on the day of February 29th, which comes once every four years. Sitting across and next to one another, everybody exchanged smiles, filled with trust, comfort, and a possible ray of hope for their own futures. This brought everybody back to their first year, seeing themselves sitting in this study room, in this library, their butts seated on these very seats since the very first day and nothing ever even dared to change any of it. A few of them had went from meeting as strangers, to going from rivals, progressing to friendship, to becoming best friends with eventual romance and at last, lovers. Present-day, still absolutely nothing has ever changed in their group dynamic.
Dean Pelton, Chang, and Professor Duncan barge in with four large extra cheese pizzas and bottles of soda and alcohol to celebrate February 29th with their favorite Study Group, much to their joy, and Jeff can't turn down pizza, unless it's school-made or from Chuck E. Cheese. What looked to be hours of fun all full of dancing and music fully wiped out the Study Group. Duncan and Chang on the floor, passed out and unconscious after ten drinks. Chang literally laid on top of Duncan, his head on his right shoulder, arms spread out wide open as well as his legs in a seemingly inappropriate manner, and both teacher's mouths were gaping open. Annie and Britta both were both wasted on the couch. Britta sat leaning over to her left with her mouth wide open as locks or even strands of her blonde hair hung above her eyes while nearly most of Annie slept on the couch on her chest with her arms hugging tightly a pillow. Her legs were laying perfectly straight across Britta's lap. Jeff and the Dean were half-naked lying upon the table, their shoes and clothes were tossed aside in a disorganized pile. Jeff's perfect coiffed chestnut brown hair had stuck out from all ends, and Troy laid atop of Abed, pressing the weight of his stomach on his back and encircled around him, holding, hugging and squeezing him as tight as he can, giving them both with much warmth as they needed. Out of everyone, Shirley's the only sober one and the responsible mother of the study group. She quietly made her way out of Group Study Room F to go and pick up her sons from after-school program, leaving her friends engrossed in their collective blissful unconsciousness.
